In my first article on the origins of the virus, I mentioned that one way to get hundreds of thousands super sick from a coronavirus is to have sensitized the population with a vaccine containing a spike protein. Why? Because prior animal studies showed high mortality following re-challenge in vaccinated animals. See studies, below.

So one of the people at Lackland in San Antonio has the virus. He has had contact with many if not most of the others quarantined.

Are they going to restart the clock on those people and keep them for 14 days, starting today?
That's a good question. I have to assume the quarantine means also quarantined from one another.
When the first group got here and were quarantined in CA, there were vids from the inside where they were all hanging out. Some had masks, some didn't.

Hope that has changed...
Based on the tweets from various people on different flights at different bases they are intermingling

The first group that was at March AFB in Riverside were released. https://www.businessinsider.com/us-quarantine-evacuees-released-tested-negative-coronavirus-2020-2
They had zero people test positive though. At one point one person did say they were told the clock would start over.

Possibility that the Chinese in an effort to vaccinate themselves from future SARS type outbreaks may have made themselves more susceptible to just such an outbreak.

First cases where reported in Dec, exactly when they started mandatory vaccinations.

So what's different in 2019? On Dec 1, a new national vaccine law went into effect. "China is to implement a state immunization program, and residents living within the territory of China are legally obligated to be vaccinated with immunization program vaccines, which are provided by the government free of charge. Local governments and parents or other guardians of children must ensure that children be vaccinated with the immunization program vaccines (art. 6)."

The first reported case of COVID19?

December 1, 2019.

Dec 1 is also the first day the virus was detected.

Reminds me of the first Air France flight from Singapore to Paris I was on. Out of nowhere the flight attendants stroll through the cabin carrying handfuls of what look like miniature bug bombs spewing out a while vapor. Apparently to kill any dengue fever mosquitoes that could have snuck on board.

We were on a flight from Dubai to Seychelles on Emirates in 2008. They didn't use spray cans, the stuff came straight out of the ceiling. Fumigating a closed cabin to kill unknown insects whilst proclaiming I am completely safe felt a little like someone getting me to drink bleach.

For the record, we survived.

Better than my Air India flight where an old man in front of us was crawling with lice.

Also, that was back in 1994 when you could still smoke on transatlantic flights.

This happens on all India flights from Mumbai.

You may wonder why the coronavirus isn't spreading fast in India. My theory is that Indians are exposed to all manner of infections. They must have the most advanced immune systems on the planet.

Totally off topic but one my friends favorite stories is when as a kid before visiting family India, her mom made her and her brother eat off the floor in order to boost their immune system. Never got into detail but visual was enough.

I highly recommend the documentary on Netflix 'Pandemic'. One of the doctors they follow around is in India and wow, what a breeding ground that place is for any number of diseases.

The population density + extreme poverty makes them so vulnerable to an outbreak.

The San Antonio CDC lady could not answer that question. She stated that she would wait for guidance from CDC.

I heard her say this:

Their quarantine is slated to end on Feb. 20, CDC spokeswoman Jennifer McQuiston said.

Didn't people say that this will spread and last less easily in warmer weather? Maybe India and Africa will be helped by that. Gonna be 90 degrees in Bombay tomorrow.

That happened in Canada with the bird flu outbreak. Apparently if you had a flu shot that year, it was like a viral "original sin" and your body didn't respond properly to the new infection. It either did nothing or produced the wrong antibodies (for the vaccine flu and not the new one). People simply died.

A Taiwanese PhD student said she feels discriminated against after London Airbnb hosts canceled her booking at the last minute, citing fears about coronavirus.

Yale University student Louise Hsin-Yuan Peng, who traveled from Taiwan to London earlier this month to conduct research for three months, received a cancellation message from the hosts of her long-term booking that said they were concerned about the virus outbreak and had to "err on the side of caution."

She received the cancellation message when she was about to arrive, after already messaging the hosts when she landed at the airport in London and taking a train to the city center.

"I was really shocked," Hsin-Yuan told CNN. "I certainly think it was xenophobic because you're just scared of me without knowing anything about me."

This is what scares the **** out of me about vaccines for fast mutating viruses. They appear to not be all that good at stopping anything and often have complication that make future infections worse.
