Really simple solution here. Ban all travel for Chinese nationals to the U.S. until such a time the CDC's scientists have access to who and what they need and they've determined the threat no longer exists.

Go to Flightaware and look at all the flights in China at any given time. If they were serious about this they would shut that down but I think they are too afraid of the economic impact.

The infected woman from the initial Germany case was from Shanghai but had just had a visit with family from Wuhan

Stopping direct flights will only do so much. They would also need to ban inbound travelers from other countries (Japan, Australia, Canada, etc) that have recently been to China.

I'm at a big international trade show this week and the booth next to ours was for a Chinese company. They were a no-show today; we will see if they show tomorrow. I'm wondering if they were quarantined or maybe just barred from travel.

Good news update despite of what the headline reads.

Essentially, patients outside of China are stable and recovering. Its not complete devastation like you're seeing in China.

Nice video.

It would be interesting to see the different mutations in the different cases around the world.
It might make it difficult to make a vaccine that would work effectively.

China is really going to have a difficult time in coping with the strain on their healthcare system and their economy will suffer immense damage.
