Gov. John Bel Edwards issued a statewide stay-at-home order March 22 for nonessential workers and businesses. The order went into effect the next day. All public schools and many businesses, such as bars and gyms, were already closed by previous executive orders, but the order expanded the closures. On March 30, he extended the order through at least April 30.

Going by the UW site, we'll probably see the US numbers go flat and pause as we pass NY, then probably increase again due to other epidemics peaking a bit later. NY will be in the next week, US as a whole a week later.

The City of Austin's public health department just reported that 28 young adults who recently returned from a spring break trip to Cabo have all tested positive for COVID-19, a local TV news station reports.
These students were part of a group of roughly 70 mostly UT Austin students left for Cabo a week and a half ago. So far, nearly half of that group has tested positive, while the rest have been warned to remain in self-isolation. The university confirmed that it was mostly UT students.
It's just the latest example of how the virus uses healthy young people to spread.
"The virus often hides in the healthy and is given to those who are at grave risk of being hospitalized or dying," APH Interim Health Authority Dr. Mark Escott said.
"While younger people have less risk for complications, they are not immune from severe illness and death from COVID-19," he said.*
Every student who participated in the trip has been contacted, APH said, and all of them are waiting to be tested

Or back in my day they were called grease monkeys because nearly every station had a repair garage attached. They would come out wiping the grease off of their hands to pump your gas, check your oil, check your tires, wash your windshield. Good times.

We surveyed a cohort of 164 close contacts and identified 4.3% (7/164) patients with occult infection which were missed by symptoms screening and nucleic acid test. Adding those identified by RT-PCR, the percentage of asymptomatic infection was as high as 6.1% in this cohort.

We next used the serological test in a cluster of 164 close contacts identified by Chongqing CDC. A couple travelled back from Wuhan city, who were confirmed to be SARS-CoV-2 infection on Feb 4, 2020, were deemed as the 1st generation patients of this network. All other cases in this cohort were closely contacted (either directly or indirectly) with this couple during Jan 20 to Feb 6, 2020. A total of 16 out of 164 cases were confirmed by RT-PCR during Jan 31 to Feb 9, 2020, with 3 cases reporting no symptoms. The other 148 cases were no symptoms and negative in RT-PCR tests. On March 1, 2020, serum samples were collected from these 164 cases for antibody tests. The 16 RT-PCR confirmed cases were positive in IgG or/and IgM. Strikingly, 7 of the 148 cases who were excluded previously by negative nucleic acid results also showed positive results in IgG or/and IgM, indicating that 4.3% (7/162) of close contacts were missed by nucleic acid test. In addition, about 6.1% (10/164) of this cohort were asymptomatic infection.
