Did anything relevant happen in those 4 months? Did someone from the Trump Admin ask the Obama library people for records of meetings on Ukraine? (The request itself asking for privileged materials might itself be privileged). If the request was made, it's almost certain Biden was told.

In other words, did Biden announce his candidacy, at least in part, to protect himself from inquiries about Ukraine? It's not really costing anything to Biden. His event preparation is poor enough it seems he's not devoting tons of time to the campaign either.

Sounds good as long as Trump immediately gets to appoint a replacement that's right of Attila the Hun. Who gets confirmed before the senate trial. A new Chief Justice can then be selected out of the conservative majority. Won't have to worry about Roberts siding with liberal trash on clearly unconstitutional issues anymore.

I'm glad to hear you say that, because it does seem like a conflict of interest to me. I'd be pretty surprised if the four horseman of death on the Dem side that work for Pelosi haven't figured this out.

My question would be who's in charge of naming the new CJ, and does Roberts go back to the postion after the impeachment. Of course, this is only important because conflicts of interest apply only to Repubicans. If that sounds like sarcasm it isn't. Rosenstein was damned sure in conflict. In fact, I've only seen one Dem, the FISA judge Strozk liked to defraud, recuse themselves due to conflicts of interest.
