This is what makes her tweet about modern lynching almost immediately after the attack was reported so damning. She knew he was friends with her and was well aware of this lynching bill she introduced last June and yet she showed ZERO skepticism at all about it.

How on earth could she not suspect a hoax unless she's a complete and utter moron. OK, I might have stumbled onto a possible defense for her here.

THe only thing that will come out of this is his career will take a huge hit for a few years until someone gives him another chance.

Pfft, I'm waiting on the federal charge, that's the biggie.

I agree this will probably get pleaded down BUT he does have a prior and the high profile nature of the case and the money/time wasted by CPD could prevent the DA from even offering, especially if he continues to act like an elitist twerp.
