Because something Ocasio is saying has truth to it --- things that are wanted have to be dared and sought after. And initially at a no real gain basis, not much profit up front. What this means is you have at the very least a zealot or `true believer' and not a charlatan and fraud. (I am not talking about her upbringing vs pose)

IF that is true, it can be re-directed to focus more on what is being sought -- rather than marxism as the means.

Something has to be figured out about the health care mess and expenses. Most of the right wing also now expects some kind of insurance arrangement. There are not many like myself that thought if you could not afford it you were SOL. I never thought I was "entitled" to any treatment I couldn't buy.

But what conservatives have to recognize is how many are wiling to say that now even on the right?

They are not. You see the information level-NOT of today's generation about the failures of the past. The right has to stop avoiding the fact that for one reason or another (we know most of them) the Leftist choose Feeling over Fact. Start using that reference.

The sincere among them want to tackle the issue of the fairness of health expenses (that deals with both the distinction if insurance vs care). I told you what I thought- -- they (and much of the right) would be aghast at the idea that a Senator gets to have a better treatment since he can buy it than I could since I can't--- don't you see-FEW on either side believe that anymore. I had no concept of being "entitled" it just didn't really exist for our era. You were not entitled to the lifestyle of those of higher income just because of some "fairness" or what was done in the past. That's NEW.

What the right here and elsewhere has to realize is that the expectation for reasonable health costs is NOW on both sides of the aisle. I can't warn enough that is why this is blind-siding.

Ironically only the Libertarians have the answer -- -since government is what caused the costs to go up, only getting rid of its degree of involvement has any hope of lowering the costs of care. But neither left or right are really looking at that.

There are two kinds of Dem politicians now. The true believers and the smart calculating ones.
She is obviously in the true believer camp.
She wants to "fix" things. The other camp does not, they want wedge issues.

Funny thing is about half of Democrat voters are not true believers or evil calculationing politicos. They actually want solutions that might actually work. However they are too stupid-brainwashed to understand the Democrats don't offer them anything like that. It's really amazing what's happening.
This divide will only grow as the true believer crowd moves from 20% of Congress to over 50% which is happening before our eyes. This is probably the old guards last Congress in charge.

The only think left to figure out is will those Democratic voters that are not full blown communist/leftist do? Will they become true believers in radicalism too or will they abandon the party once the generation of liars they have been believing no longer weld any power?
