She used to go by the name "Sandy" in high school where she tried to make herself look as white as possible. Her entire modern personality is a complete fraud.
I would bet that people in the general NYC area claiming to be from the historically s---hole sections of the city, are just the yankee equivalent of how almost all white families in the south claim a backstory which either includes:
(A) ancestors who came from Europe in the late 1800s (code for 'my family wasn't here until after the civil war, so we're not slavey slaveholding slaver McSlaversteins')" or
(B) "my grandma's mother was full blooded Cherokee/Choctaw".

In much the same way virtually everyone everywhere in all regions of the country claims to have grown up "eating government cheese".

Street-cred poverty-realness posturing is one thing that brings blacks, whites, and browns together.
I don't know anyone who claims just A because that means that people can't claim their family fought in the American Revolution, which is ******ed. B does happen, but according to genetic data of whites from 23 and Me, it's entirely false as American whites have barely 0.18% Native DNA on average.

I'm sure I had ancestors who owned slaves given that I'm related to a Judge in 1600s and a General in the American Revolution, but whatever I don't care at all as I had nothing do with it.

I have zero Native DNA (I've had my DNA tested) and it is 100% European.

Street cred in this regard only matters to SJWs.

Communists/Revolutionaries like her almost NEVER come from the actual peasant/working class as they tend to lack the education/power to be dissatisfied enough to revolt

Nor are they usually wealthy/powerful because these people are invested in maintaining the status quo

Like Cortez herself they almost all come from the middle/upper middle class who are educated but are not wealthy or powerful enough to be born into the power structure

The political idea of Communism is the vehicle for people like Cortez to force their way into the power structure and replace the existing ruling elites by making promises of pie in the sky egalitarianism to the working class (including BS stories of how they are "one of them") in exchange for helping them overthrow the current ruling elites

This can be a bloody revolution or in our case, an election in which she overthrew a long established senior Democrat who possibly next in line for Speaker

Now she has power and is w new established ruling elite and following historical precedence, will proceed to blame her inability to bring about the perfect communist utopia on the nearest political enemy and tell us that in order to make good, she and her government need more money and more power to defeat these anti revolutionary agents and once they just have enough control over the proletariat population, paradise will follow shortly

But we all know what happens once the "dictatorship of the proletariat for their own good" step in communism happens

It never ends

But for Libs, that's a feature and not a bug

I think she's just a spoiled brat who has a chip on her shoulder for some reason.
She is the same economic illiterate monster as Bernie Sanders that almost won the Dem nomination. Sad that so many people have become conditioned to her's, Beto's and Bernie's insanity.
Yes. But I still think the real scandal is that she was taught these ideas either by the campus or mainstream TV's overall economic illiteracy. Bernie wasn't mis-taught -- he was a hippie type from the start.

It is utterly amazing how stupid she is. If the people in the media weren't the morons who couldn't pass a single real class in college and jumped to journalism, they would ask her where her ideas have worked - anywhere - in all of history.

I'm always amazed that even on TexAgs there are idiots that think the New Deal worked. Nothing worked about the New Deal. We spent billions of taxpayer dollars and after a decade we were still locked in hopeless depression. In what alternate fantasy was that successful? It infuriates me when Hollywood shows these feel-good movies showing the GD being ended by that crap. It ended because we fired up a war machine.
