The mental gymnastics Flake will have to pull if he votes no are going to be epic. Votes yes out of committee, comments that the investigation he insisted on added no corroboration of any kind, then votes no. I get he's a slack jawed ***** but this is going to comically pathetic.

Collins won't do anything. Brett was -- effectively -- her choice. She's happy to have the additional FBI materials as cover. Murkowski didn't choose Brett but she knows that she'll get primaried again for a "no" vote. She's probably happy to have the cover too. And the only way she survives a second primarying would likely be actually switching parties.

So Flake doesn't matter and since Mitch has the votes, maybe you see a few last second reversals from red state D's trying to save face.
