But as to your point, the FBI gets their ducks in a row before they interview a target. Not sure you can really classify Ford as a target unless they have reason to believe she has committed a federal crime. (Slim to none they would pursue it to prosecution even if they had such evidence, however.)

Which will put us right back where we started and give the Dems more to cry about and keep all the fence sitters happily perched on top of the fence.

FBI won't even go that far. They are literally going to hand over a document with the list of questions asked of each person, and their answers to each question. That's it. They will not say there is no more evidence, or that there is not anymore evidence. At that point the Dems will find all sorts of little one line snapshots in the answers and demand that the FBI go chase those rabbits. It is their goal. Without question.

I doubt she gets interviewed. What would be the point? She has submitted a written letter describing what little she recalls of the alleged events in question. She has been directly questioned by the committee.

The notion that further questioning would somehow ferret out the "truth" or assist her memory is ridiculous. Why waste what little time they have for this listening to someone resembling Ryan O'Neal in a wig say "I don't remember anything even remotely resembling a detail"?

Particularly the FBI that went with the Steele Dossier without a shred of corroboration. Putting that travesty aside for a moment, let's refocus on the essential issue here, did Blasey-Ford knowingly lie under oath?

She names people. They refute her claims. Every single one of them. Is that enough to give probable cause to believe she intentionally lied? What is missing is motive. Why would she do that, lie to hurt Kavanaugh's nomination?

And that is where her social media accounts come into play. By erasing them, have her and her attorneys destroyed evidence?

Funny that. When you have a principled nominee, no amount of exposure to your dirty smear machine will cause him to back down.

Also, what an incredibly stupid strategy. If there was some modicum of veracity to the allegations, you may have had a shot -- one shot, at the original confirmation hearings -- of getting the guy to withdraw. Now you're playing a game of chicken with a guy that is 100% vested in protecting his reputation and nothing but fake allegations to throw at him.

This ought to be forced down the throats of red state democrat senators without mercy until midterms -- even if they try to save face and vote to confirm after it becomes inevitable that Kavenaugh has the votes.

Only thing I can figure is the FBI would want to talk to alleged witnesses, and then save Ford for last to see if her story lines up...
