The fact that this woman's social media was scrubbed REEKS of fraud. I was falsely accused in college and I didn't try to hide anything because I didn't freaking do it. Fortunately her roommate who knew the whole story and how she just turned on me because we hooked up and I didn't call her back came forward and cleared me. Why does she need to hide her past if she's telling the truth?????

I'm of the opinion that you don't get to wait 36 years and then decide to ruin someone's life, especially when the alleged incident happened in high school. This isn't a serial rapist. This isn't a man with a record. This is a man with a wife and 2 daughters who by all accounts is an upstanding citizen and servant of the community.
This is not right. Period. End of discussion. If something really did happen, then I feel disgusted that ever happened. But you can't just sit on this for 3 decades and come forward when it's all of a sudden politically convenient to do so. Nope. Sorry.

I can echo this. I just moved back to Texas after 2 years in DC. Made many liberal friends up there. Have been in touch with several of them this past week and each of them recognizes that Ford's story is a complete pile of BS. And more than one of them commented that this whole situation was going to fire up the Republicans going into the midterms. They were hoping for the Republican base to be less than enthusiastic about going to the polls.
