Who better to help scrub the internet history, and know what processes and people to enlist in such preparatory work, than a retired lawyer who worked deeply inside the FBI?
Not only did Ms. McLean possesses a particular set of skills to assist Ms. Ford, but Ms. McLean would also have a network of DOJ and FBI resources to assist in the endeavor. A former friendly FBI agent to do the polygraph; a network of politically motivated allies?
Does the appearance of FBI insider and Deputy FBI Director to Andrew McCabe, Michael Bromwich, begin to make more sense?

I don't believe her claims.
I think they are made up because what has been corroborated has refuted her accounts.

But I'd like to see some kind of proof she was collaborating with her former FBI friend. I've only seen them pegged in the same city. Did Ford say she was visiting her?
Ford said she consulted "beach friends" so very well maybe that was Ford was referring to McLean. At the time of questioning I was hoping the follow up would question would ask for their names, I thought that was important to know in case she really meant Feinstein or something, but that question never came.
Honestly, I'm thinking that yes, she likely was consulting her friend McLean, it would fit the picture, but the evidence at this point is purely circumstantial.

Thanks for your response, just wanted to ask if both sides were being held to the same standard, which they should be - if all the parties to this fiasco (both sides) held that view, then perhaps this country could be saved but I have my doubts

Remember that it is extremely likely (probably a guarantee) that the first phone call the Trump White House made when Kennedy announced his retirement was to Susan Collins's office.
