Agree that this is the most reasonable takeaway.
Modern medical interventions, vaccines for lethal childhood diseases, agricultural practices ensuring a reliable & healthy food supply, etc, etc, etc. It's all too easy to discount or forget where we were with average lifespans just a very short time ago.
We've really got it quite good IMHO...
