Dangerous Insurrectionists Seize Capitol Building

WASHINGTON, D.C. America's government was thrown into turmoil last night after a small band of insurrectionist traitors stormed the Capitol building while waving the flag of a foreign power.
"This is a dark day for the country," said Representative Thomas Massie, watching in disbelief as the events unfolded on TV. "Not only did these lunatics make it all the way into the sacred House Chamber they waved the flag of a hopelessly corrupt foreign nation and made off with $50 billion. How did we let this happen?"
Sources say the plot to attack democracy was spearheaded by conspirators at the highest echelons of government, including Nancy Pelosi and VP Kamala Harris. "This is anti-democratic," said Massie. "No one voted for this."
Already, citizens are asking for help tracking down and detaining all involved so they can be thrown in solitary confinement without bail for years and years. "We must show no mercy to traitors and insurrectionists who threaten our democracy," said Senator Josh Hawley. "I vow to hold these people accountable by hauling them before hearings and yelling at them on TV. That's about all I can do, unfortunately."
At publishing time, Harris and Pelosi had been seen checking their bank accounts to see if their Christmas bonuses from Ukraine had cleared yet.

Zelensky Spotted Ringing Bell Next To Red Bucket Outside U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON, DC Only a day after his address to Congress, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky was seen ringing a bell next to a red donation bucket while standing outside the entrance to the U.S. Capitol building. Sources say it's yet another attempt to seek money for his nation's war effort against Russia.
"Every dollar is vital to our righteous cause," Zelensky was heard telling lawmakers and other staffers as they entered the Capitol. "The tens of billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars you have sent thus far is simply not enough. We require more funding for munitions, vehicles, government salaries, and my wife's shopping trips in Paris. Please, this is of the utmost importance."
Senators and members of the House of Representatives were seen eagerly digging into the pockets of the members of their entourages for spare cash and loose change while making sure the nearby media was able to capture images and video of them making their donations.
"To deny President Zelensky the ongoing funding he so desperately needs is truly evil," said outgoing Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi as she commanded one of her aides to place money in the bucket on her behalf. "Anyone who is unwilling to give more money to Ukraine clearly also hates the United States and everything decent and holy in the world."
At publishing time, Congress was believed to be working on increasing taxes so they could give even more of the American people's money away while Zelensky was overheard asking members of Congress to provide him with an even larger bucket.

Biden Nervous As Boss Drops By Unexpectedly

WASHINGTON, D.C. Sources say Biden is feeling nervous after an unexpected visit from his Ukrainian boss Volodymyr Zelensky just as the White House was wrapping things up to go home for the holidays.
"Oh no! Vocab Zikorsky is here! What am I supposed to be doing? Everybody, look busy!" said a frantic Biden to White House staff as Zelensky's limo pulled up. "Darnit all! Jill hates it when I have the boss over to dinner unannounced. Someone make some perogies or something. Do Ukrainians eat perogies?" Biden then sniffed a nearby staffer, something he always does when he gets nervous.
According to reports, Zelensky is stopping by Washington to check on the progress of the omnibus spending bill to ensure Biden gets it passed per his wishes. "Ukraine needs many more billions," said Zelensky. "For President Biden's sake, I pray he does not disappoint me."
Several Republican congressmen also nervously approached the wartime leader in his dashing tactical green sweatshirt corduroys to promise him they would do everything possible to send many more billions to his country as soon as possible.
At publishing time, Zelensky had left the meeting early after a visibly anxious President Biden attempted to sniff him too something considered a major social faux pas in Ukrainian culture.
Congress has assured the Ukrainian President that they will pass another $50 billion in spending by this Friday.
