It really irritates me that this whole thing about Steele, DNC, Hillary and the FBI has been out there for years and the majority of the country knows nothing about it. All they know is "Trump was trying to destroy our democracy."

Question time again.

I'm sure a judge ordering someone to produce docs the day of the trial happens frequently. How often does that put the government/defendant in a bad situation if the docs are arriving the day of the trial?

If it's 1000 pages, or more, that's got to be detrimental to whichever side needs the new information.

yep; and half, if not the majority, of the country that have no idea how corrupt Hillary, DNC, and the FBI are think:

  • there's no problem at the border,
  • no problem with crime in our cities,
  • no problem with teens dying from synthetic opioids,
  • keeping our children masked is a good thing,
  • inflation is a good thing - no wait - it's Putin's and Trump's fault,
  • printing trillions now is worth it for acid rain, ozone layer hole, global warming, climate crisis
  • destroying our energy industry and putting us at a competitive disadvantage is worth it for acid rain, ozone layer hole, global warming, climate crisis
  • questioning school boards for curriculum designed to make our children feel guilty and ashamed is domestic terrorism
  • being proud of what America used to stand for is "fascism"
  • showing an ID is racist
  • row v wade potential overturn = full ban on all abortions and assault on all women and BIPOCs
  • 2020 election was the most safe and secure election evvvvaaaarrr!

It's more onerous on the defense than the prosecution in a criminal trial. Eric Nelson, Chauvin's defense counsel was bombarded with new documents everyday throughout the trial. He complained to the judge to no avail.

More importantly, what would be the prejudice to the defendant? They know what are in those emails, correct? They made the privilege logs.

This is probably a dumb question here, but is there anyway to hold people accountable (assuming you could prove it was done to hide malfeasance)?

I know this is off the table, but when a judge creates a non-winnable situation (an he did create it), it should be eligible for discipline, at the very least.

Up to the judge. Maybe Durham could file an appeal on this but that would mean the trial would be continued again. So, guess they probably don't want to do that.

...and there it is. It was only a matter of time before Cooper tilted the scales in some way. Swamp doing swamp things. We live in a banana republic.

eta: did anyone really think the current administration and dem elites were just going to let this investigation and trial move forward if they thought it really posed a real threat? In reality, they know they own the system and just let things play out in a controlled manner for the appearance of legitimacy.
