It has probably been stated before in this thread, but this whole scandal illustrates the massive divide between "The Ruling Class" and "The Country Class" as detailed in the late Angelo Codevilla's brilliant essay "America's Ruling Class and the Perils of Revolution".

I for one cannot stand the corrupt-o-crats that Durham has been exposing. And there are so many more that need to be brought to justice.

Good Friday morning read. Or to send to people who may not want to get into the weeds with SpyGate. And since people have been asking for a way to ELI5 the Russian Collusion Hoax. This does a pretty good job!

SpyGate 101: A Primer On The Russia Collusion Hoax's Years-long Plot To Take Down Trump
Quote:

For those who care about our country's future but don't want to be buried in the minutia of the Russia collusion hoax scandal, here is your big-picture primer.

As Special Counsel John Durham continues to expose more details of the "SpyGate" or "Russia collusion" scandal, it can be difficult for any apolitical, non-news-junkie member of the public to grasp the ongoing developments.
After all, for more than five years, the corrupt legacy media has refused to report on scandal or done so with a slanted portrayal of the facts. So most Americans remain unaware of the Democrats' years-long duplicity that sought to destroy first candidate and then President Donald Trump. Add to that reality the overlapping conspiracies and sprawling cast of characters involved, and it can be difficult to follow the story.

That the scandal is dense, however, does not mean it should be ignored. To the contrary, the duplicity must not be disregarded because what Trump's political enemies tried to accomplish over the course of five years represents the biggest threat our constitutional republic has seen in the last century.
So for those who care about our country and her future but don't want to be buried in the minutia of the scandal, here is your big-picture primer.

...

There are thousands more details already known and many more players involved and that's before whatever else Durham may reveal. But just these basics provide all the information you need to understand SpyGate and to see why it far surpasses the Watergate scandal.

Want to trace when our government went from the normal DC good ole boys club to the hyperdrive swamp creature look no further than the creation of the Senior Executive Service (SES). The SES was established by the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978 (CSRA; P.L. 95-454, 92 Stat. 1111).

Congress claimed it created the SES to provide a government-wide, mobile corps of managers within federal agencies. The SES, comprising career appointees who are chosen through a "merit staffing process" HAHA that's a laugh, it's supposed to be the link between the politically appointed heads of agencies and the career civil servants within those agencies. What it is is the dark underbelly of the swamp, who basically run a shadow government controlled by big money and power. It's the DC mafia sotospeek. They are a protected class within the bureaucracy that are close to impossible to fire, and are the most powerful in the entire swamp.

Good point, I had forgotten about the SES. I can't remember the number of bureaucrats that make more than $200k per in DC, but it is an astonishing number.

You know what I am worried about?

That our government is not fixable. That we have so many amoral and swampy/corrupt people in our government that it is impossible to fix.

That we are now pretty much at the point that any Republican president is unable to get things done because of the corrupt bureaucracy. Because what it looks like now is that the government is full of leftist who are hell bent on furthering the leftist agenda and will do anything in their power to stop anyone from going against their will.

How naive I was just 5 years ago.

Now I don't know how we recover from this.

That's ALWAYS the issue with government expansion. History shows it happens every single time. Even the most unpalatable method-violence-doesn't guarantee removal of those you speak.

The only "pleasant" way is extreme discomfort by Americans AND a President who understands along with a compliant congress.

In order for this to happen, a massive enlightening will have to happen. There are Americans who know the details. Molly Hemingway, Larry Elder, etc. doo a good job of explaining.

Just think about the massive propagandizing since 2000. Weapons of mass destruction, Benghazi (where 9 children no longer have 4 fathers), sale of 25%of our uranium for $145 million, 2020 election fraud, massive corruption by the FBI, State Dept., DOD, DOJ, FISA, Capital Police (Jan. 6th), on Russiagate, Hunter and Joe Biden, and going to DC to get rich. These are just the things I can remember immediately. We have to have a Durham on all of them, and government MUST reveal the information.

It's only going to come from us.

We need another Church Committee but no one is powerful enough to buck the miscreants in the Senate. Not even Manchin could manage that. McConnell is compromised, as well.

And I wasn't even aware of the SES.

The SES is exactly what happens when government can count on bills that either aren't properly explained, or not reported.

The politicians always get more aggressive.

Just scroll back in this very thread there are pages upon pages of Aggiehawg and a couple of others pointing out the SES FOUR years ago. Look at how hard it was to fire Peter Strzok because he got SES status in 2016 All the players in the FBI were SES with the exception of Lisa Page and Masked man "SSA 1" Joe Pientka who Grassley outed in 2018. This group has been all over the depth of the corruption of the SES amd nailed it to a TEE numerous times.

Although the SES was created during Carter's admin, Carter was not the first POTUS to propose changes to the executive levels of the civil service. The first proposal was made by the 2nd Hoover Commission, chaired by former POTUS Herbert Hoover. Eisenhower pushed back on Senior Civil Service (which he later called the Career Executive Service). Eisenhower was leery of bigger government and the Military Industrial Complex that he warned about in his farewell address. Kennedy and Johnson clashed over it, Kennedy wanted to do away with the CIA and it's that what likely got him whacked regardless of what the BS the Warren Commission was spewing. interest in reforming the higher civil service, Johnson was all in for tasking their administrations with reviewing the federal executive personnel system, once he got in the big chair over JFK's dead body, he went all in to start the ball rolling and cranked up the J Edgar Hoover spy machine. Johnson and JEH were the real birthers of the SES. But it got bogged down with Nixon and when the peanut farmer took over, the SES was set in motion.

This is probably an apocryphal story, but Admiral Rickover (the "father" of the nuclear navy) said that he had an easy solution to reform the Pentagon.

His solution was to make everyone in the Pentagon go outside the building, line up, and then count off by threes. He'd then fire everyone numbered 2 & 3.

That was his solution. Perhaps it's a bit blunt, but it might work.

You'd also need to put some sort of mandatory hiring freeze in place to keep the 2's and 3's from immediately being rehired. You'd also need to prevent the DoD from simply moving the 2s and 3s over to a beltway bandit, which is where they typically go during layoffs and RIFs.

Doing it at just the Pentagon would only be scratching the surface. Needs to be done in the entire NCR.

Amen, although some agencies should be completely eliminated. All administrative courts and agency police departments (i.e., enforcement divisions) should also be eliminated.
