Does Flynn dispute the facts documented in the 302? If Flynn does not, and the affidavit makes no mention of it, I don't see how the editing is relevant to the argument.
What got Flynn is the same thing that got Alfred Dreyfus in France: a naive belief in the sincerity of those who were talking to him.fasthorse05 said:
Fellers, I do have a Flynn interview question.
Since its nearly a 100% certainty that both agents had already seen,, and read the Kisylak/Flynn phone transcript, does it make any difference in his answer essentially saying "I don't recall"?
I don't think it does, but thought I''d ask, since no one brought it up. I assume it's a routine operation for the FBI to have seen a transcript from a proper criminal, and then ask them to "recall" the conversation.
When Ivanka is inaugurated, and asks me to be her National Security Advisor, I'm not saying jack to anyone from the DOJ.

Do we know the actual verbiage of Flynn's supposed lie? Is there a transcript of his interview with the FBI? My understanding was that the agents that interviewed him thought - at the time - that while Flynn might have answered inaccurately, they thought he was trying to be truthful.
Per the FD-302 report summarizing the FBI's interview,Quote:
The interviewing agents asked FLYNN if he recalled any conversation with KISLYAK in which the expulsions were discussed, where FLYNN might have encouraged KISLYAK not to escalate the situation, to keep the Russian response reciprocal, or not to engage in a "tit-for-tat." FLYNN responded, "Not really. I don't remember. It wasn't, 'Don't do anything.'"
Carolin_Gallego said:Not in this case. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Flynn is saying he doesn't remember, as documented in the 302, and the Feds are saying that's a lie. The facts presented in the 302 are not being contested by Flynn.aggiehawg said:Really? You don't see how a person who was not even present at the interview being able to edit the only record of that interview??Quote:

Don't know. Do know he was related to Julia-Louis Dreyfus. If Richard had family in France, then that would be a possibility.fasthorse05 said:
BTW, have you ever seen Richard Dreyfus speak about his relation to Alfred.
To my knowledge, his relation has never been proved, but I always found it interesting.
Carry on, and thanks.
It sure don't look like that anymoreStlkofta said:Don't know. Do know he was related to Julia-Louis Dreyfus. If Richard had family in France, then that would be a possibility.fasthorse05 said:

That's what Judge Sullivan is saying right now with regard to the case on his docket.Shooter McGavin said:It sure don't look like that anymoreStlkofta said:Don't know. Do know he was related to Julia-Louis Dreyfus. If Richard had family in France, then that would be a possibility.fasthorse05 said:

Quote:In legal circles, that's called "motive." We have to factor in as well that McCabe and Flynn come from different ends of the political spectrum. Flynn became a key Trump supporter after accusing President Obama of facilitating the rise of ISIS through his policies and inaction. McCabe is a Democratic loyalist whose wife campaigned for state office in Virginia as a Democrat with heavy Democratic financial support.Quote:
Flynn's intervention on behalf of Supervisory Special Agent Robyn Gritz was highly unusual, and included a letter in 2014 on his official Pentagon stationary, a public interview in 2015 supporting Gritz's case and an offer to testify on her behalf. His offer put him as a hostile witness in a case against McCabe, who was soaring through the bureau's leadership ranks.
The FBI sought to block Flynn's support for the agent, asking a federal administrative law judge in May 2014 to keep Flynn and others from becoming a witness in her Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) case, memos obtained by Circa show. Two years later, the FBI opened its inquiry of Flynn
McCabe eventually became the bureau's No. 2 executive and emerged as a central player in the FBI's Russia election tampering investigation, putting him in a position to impact the criminal inquiry against Flynn.
Three FBI employees told Circa they personally witnessed McCabe make disparaging remarks about Flynn before and during the time the retired Army general emerged as a figure in the Russia case.
I hope they indict Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Page, Strzok, Priestap and everyone else who participated in this blatant abuse of power, it is a complete travashamockery. And what blow back could there be for The Gestapo a.k.a. as Mueller's team and specifically Andrew Weismann, those f*cks need the book thrown at them!Prognightmare said:

He probably thought this would all get wrapped up nice and tidy without much of an issue.
Then all hell broke loose.
As far as Julia, she's aged. No doubt.
But she's got a good combination of looks and laughs to this day. Beauty outside. Beauty inside.

I think that's most definitely the case, which is why Susan Rice e-mailed "evidence" to herself that the President told them it had to be done by the book. Because of course that's how Obama operated.Line Ate Member said:
Levin has been harping at the WH angle since the onset. Because he was the chief of staff within the DOJ, liberals sometimes overlook that he remembers the process of briefings and what is supposed to go in briefings for the president.
My only fear is that it was done off the books, which should show how truly corrupt his administration was. Looking at it from just a single marker, you could say that this was one time thing.

You know when this whole travesty started way back in 2016, i thought it was outrageous. Never in my wildest dreams thought the corruption and abuse of power would be this widespread and we're just actually scratching the surface it seems.
No way in hell this was a rogue operation by the FBI/CIA/NSA alone. Something this widespread must have had the blessings of the WH. Not sure if there will ever be a way to prove that but I am convinced more than ever that this was orchestrated at the highest levels of the executive branch.
