The close incestuous relationship between these legions of progressive bureaucrats and the press that is ostensibly claims to be holding government accountable is stunning. It seems like every significant bureaucrat has friends and confidants amongst the press, though I am sure many of them are relationships of convenience or common ideological purpose. It's just odd how integrated the press is as an unofficial messaging arm for the leadership of federal bureaucracies.

Congress has not been briefed on U.S. Attorney John Durham's review of the Russia investigation, according to a leading GOP investigator.

Rep. Jim Jordan, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, said "no" when asked during a Just the News podcast on Thursday whether Durham or Attorney General William Barr have provided lawmakers an update on the inquiry.

"Remember: The attorney general said that he expects the investigation and then some kind of presentation or report, I assume -- but he said he expects the investigation to end sometime this summer," the Ohio congressman said.

The interview indicated that lawmakers, including Jordan, had little official information to go on as they talked about Durham's work over the past year. For instance, Rep. Doug Collins, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News in late February that there will not be a report from Durham and rather that the public would hear about the progress the prosecutor has made if and when there is an indictment......

No leaks! This is such a contrast to the Mueller Investigation where leaks were commonplace. Either Durham is running a very tight ship or there is bad news in the offing for the plotters.

The Bad News is for Brennan, since the Dems have leaked that his e-mails have been requested, to be polite about it. That's the least of it.

Interesting read. Papadopoulos denies any involvement in the DNC hack by the Trump Campaign & doubts the Russians had anything to do with the hacking. Articles gives verbatim account from the transcript. I wonder who leaked it.

Covington, Burling has really screwed the pooch in the Flynn case. And they just keep getting worse.

I honestly don't know why Judge Sullivan hasn't hammered the hell out of them by now.

Can you explain in layman's terms what this means? Is it that they gave up documents before, but just now found some more?

Law firms use document retention and location software. When new counsel takes over, the entire file should be all together or easily located if parts are in different attorney's offices. They started transporting the files to Sydney last July.

Now in April, nearly 9 months later they suddenly "found" additional documents? Only two ways to explain that. Documents were intentionally withheld from the production or were never entered into the software. Either one is no bueno.

Yes, along with the FISA Court judges and John Roberts. They have all been weak.

If Holder came within a mile of this case, he should be called to the court and explain himself. Won't happen, though. If he is cc'd on one email (which might explain why certain emails were withheld) he should be called to appear before the court. He wasn't AG when the Flynn case originated, Lynch was but his contacts are still in DOJ.

Again, won't happen.

Well there's another high-level Obama Admin official that took off their lift shoes, and are sneaking around in a crouch now...

Poor old Flynn's attorneys fees should be well north of $1 million by now. I've not seen a public fund raising campaign, but maybe there is one. I'm hoping he's been getting some help in lieu of the huge lawsuit Powell is going to recommend Flynn file.
Hate is how progressives sustain themselves. Without hate, introspection begins to slip into the progressive's consciousness, threatening the progressive with the truth: that their ideas and opinions are illogical, hypocritical, dangerous, and asinine.
This is backed by data.

I've donated to it, not that I am big daddy dollars. I saw an article last summer that said he had >$4.5 million in unpaid legal bills.

Sundance playing detective again, putting together parts of the puzzle. If you remember, Confidential Human Source #3 (CHS-3) was not identified in Horowitz's Report. Turns out this person is a friend of Papadopoulos, Jeffery Wiseman, which is detailed in the above article.

Also, there is a bit of additional circumstantial evidence per the threadreader below:

Only he wasn't fired immediately. Atkinson deliberately misconstrued a narrow statute, was told he was misapplying the law by both the then ODNI and DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel, an opinion IG's are required to follow.

IOW, Atkinson, in conjunction with Schiff and Pelosi created grounds for the impeachment out of whole cloth. And that was after he had his fingerprints all over the FISA abuse. Hope Durham indicts his ass for that.
