My Dad was an FBI agent for nearly 30 years. His comments where, "Muelller was the first FBI director to politicize the FBI." His second thought, "...why is Comey deciding on what to prosecute or not as the FBI investigates then turns the info to the DOJ and they decide what to prosecute." Both interesting insights. Mueller didnt care because he is done. Comey wants a cushy high paying job. One that he does not deserve because he does not have the interests of the country in his best interest.

As much as I hate Mueller and believe he's a real POS, I'll cut him a little slack for being the FBI Director in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. That event, the investigation following and the Patriot Act thrust him front and center. But that was then and this is now.

Comey was at DOJ during the same time frame. But again that was then, this is now. His actions while FBI Director were way above his pay-grade as he was acting like he was still at DOJ. He went full J. Edgar Hoover and deserved to be fired.

Mueller and Comey are both traitors. Mueller oversaw the whole lexicon/training at the FBI changing over to make sure it didn't offend muslims.

That's about all I need to know about him, but hearing how sanctimonious and arrogant both he, and his ardent supporters on the hill/fake news were for 2.5 years as he twiddled around with a bunch of treasonous jerks, I'd have a tough time spitting on him if he were on fire in front of me.

Oh I agree. My point was it didn't matter who was FBI Director after 9/11, they would have still been more in the spotlight than before that event. Prior to 9/11 I would have been hard pressed to correctly identify the current Director of the FBI unless they were standing behind the Attorney General announcing a major newsworthy indictment.

Did Mueller and Comey take a certain situation and run with it? Yes, they did and far exceeded their scope and ethical responsibilities, not to mention inventing crimes out of whole cloth.

Still hard for me to comprehend HOW Comey climbed the ladder within the FBI given his obvious arrogance, elevated political bias and projected disregard for Constitutional law. Apparently none of his superiors felt he might become a danger to the agency's reputation.

Status, egos, personal agendas and internal politics exists in every environment I worked...BUT Justice System (DOJ/FBI) administrators should be keenly alert for persons who might abuse his/her position for nefarious reasons...ESPECIALLY corruption/illegal activities among the ranks! Someone (likely several) administrators were seemingly blind to Comey's swarthy traits or they deliberately overlooked them in order to achieve their goal.

Nobodies homey Comey looking rough.
