IF Barr appoints a Special Counsel, God forbid it take another 2 1/2 yrs to complete an investigation. I would hope most of the facts/evidence is already in hand.
Exactly. Enough of the special counsel year(s) long investigations. Investigations are ongoing in multiple districts. Let them play out.

The last one only took that long because it was a political witch hunt devoid of uproar besides trying to find any excuse to impeach Trump.

A legit investigation would not take nearly that long.

I think this is a good question. If they are all related, or similarly related, why going them all over the place?

To avoid the appearance of bias, i.e., "spread any culpability" or "blur any image" of partisanship and minimize blame from centering on any one individual?????

The D.C. office seems to be the heart of it all. Hard to trust anyone there more than likely.

Getting everything away from the politics and utter corruption of DC is essential to getting a legit investigation.

I don't get it. I don't recall Trump calling out a judge...only the prosecutors. So why would 1100 judges worried about politicization announce a political stunt?

Yes, his headlines are a bit silly and over-the-top. Still, gateway pundit is a basically a link aggregator/commentator on the right-wing equivalent of CNN (but not all fake news).

I like that they're interviewing Mueller's investigators (presumably those still in DoJ) as Paul Sperry has indicated;

Meet Cynthia Rufe, Who Leads the Group of Federal Judges Holding an 'Emergency Meeting' on Roger Stone The meeting comes amid fallout from Main Justice's intervention last week in Roger Stone's sentencing.

Quote:

The National Association of Assistant U.S. Attorneys came forward last week to say the career prosecutors handling Stone's case "properly exercised their discretion," and U.S. District Chief Judge Beryl Howell of the District of Columbia issued a rare public statement defending Jackson after the president criticized Jackson's handling of Stone's case.

'Protect Democracy' + Dem donors + Never Trumpers. They pulled the same stunt after Mueller's Report came out.

Evidence for Manaforts investigation was extorted from Ukraine by his political enemies here in the USA. Isn't that a crime?

More seriously, manafort was always a sleezy. He probably deserves jail time, just like half the Obama administration FBI.

Team Mueller knew the black ledger was bogus and did not use it at trial.

It kinda looks like Capone may have called in The Property Brothers, or just HGTV.

Of course, it looks like Capone was born 100 years too late, because today, he'd have been arrested and released.
Hate is how progressives sustain themselves. Without hate, introspection begins to slip into the progressive's consciousness, threatening the progressive with the truth: that their ideas and opinions are illogical, hypocritical, dangerous, and asinine.
This is backed by data.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-offered-assange-pardon-if-he-covered-up-russian-hack-court-hears

Quote:

Edward Fitzgerald, Assange's lawyer, said on Wednesday that a message had been passed on to Assange by former Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.

Fitzgerald said a statement produced by Assange's lawyer, Jennifer Robinson, showed "Mr Rohrabacher going to see Mr Assange and saying, on instructions from the president, he was offering a pardon or some other way out, if Mr Assange... said Russia had nothing to do with the DNC leaks."

Assange's extradition hearing is next week. The above comes from The Daily Beast, a left-wing media source. Note they have manipulated the language in the statement, omitting part of it. Two other left wing news outlets have published Fitzgerald's statement with the same omission within the last 10 minutes. Methinks there is more to the story.

WTH? The only indictment that I have seen was a single count regarding helping Manning to try to break a password on classified government computer. And when extradition proceedings are commenced in the UK, the requesting state has a set deadline in which to amend or augment the underlying charges and if they don't, they are guaranteeing those are the only charges he will face if extradition is granted.

Which is a sensible policy since the UK is anti-death penalty and won't extradite if it is in play. So I don't know the origins of that statement from the link.

Quote:

If he appears in court in the U.S., Assange would face 18 charges including conspiracy to commit computer intrusion. The total jail time for all charges would be 175 years.

How Robert Mueller and James Comey's best friend sent Rod Blagojevich to prison by Mark Vargas | May 01, 2018 03:45 PM

Quote:

And Fitzgerald? He's Comey's best friend and the former U.S. attorney in Illinois. Comey and Fitzgerald became fast friends when they both worked in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. And during a congressional hearing, Comey referred to Fitzgerald as "one of the finest federal prosecutors there is, if not ever." And just recently, Comey hired Fitzgerald to join his legal team.
So why does this all matter?

In 2008, then-FBI Director Mueller authorized a totally unnecessary and ruthless predawn raid on then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich of Illinois. Blagojevich, a Democrat, was arrested in front of his two terrified young daughters. He supposedly conspired pay-to-play schemes to fill then-President Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat. The arrest and subsequent trial made national headlines. The fame-hungry federal prosecutor in the case? None other than Comey's best friend, Fitzgerald.
The Blagojevich case is one that should make every political candidate and elected official very nervous. At its very core, the question remains: What constitutes illegal political fundraising? So long as the answer remains fuzzy, both candidates for office and elected officials better watch out a routine political fundraising call could send you to prison for 14 years.

To be fair, the judge I clerked four would almost always docket unsolicited correspondence about cases as a matter of transparency and full disclosure (and to dispel any concerns he was relying on outside information and allow anyone that thought a response is necessary to respond).

Crackpot rants are honestly pretty funny.

I guess he will not be voting from Trump in 2020 for he, and all individuals with TDS, would rather see the country burn with a Democratic President instead of a President that they "convicted" in their minds of crimes he supposedly committed the minute he was elected.

The minute he mentioned "climate change", he lost all credibility to include opposing illegal immigration and fair trade.

He was never a "Republican".

If the jury aren't seeing these, then they're just raving spite from activists that the judge is probably hopefully just necessarily dealing with by acknowledging them for the record then filing away never to matter. I assume if such filings are made using a proper process that the judge is required to acknowledge them as received, no matter how eye roll inducing they are.
