Andrea Saccucci, an Italian lawyer who has submitted an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights on behalf of De Sousa, confirmed on Sunday that his client had left Italy but could not explain why De Sousa had returned to the United States despite her fears about the U.S. administration.

"She only told me that she is now in the States," Saccucci told Reuters.

Il Corriere quoted De Sousa as saying that "thanks to the recent changes to the Whistleblower Act" she could reveal further details on the case.
Uhmm, what changes to the ICWPA are those? Lack of first hand knowledge, perhaps?

3.5 minute video. Fascinating when Russian news media provides better coverage of SpyGate than one would ever see in the US MSM.

They are probably tired of being falsely accused of ***** There are no real Russians in the Mueller report

Any of y'all heard of, or read, Josh Campbell's "Crossfire Hurrican". Anything that has the subtitle "Inside Trump's War on the FBI" would automatically make me turn away.

However, even though Campbell is a sipper, and was an FBI agent, entire book can't be CNN babble (he now works there), or full of political BS. I don't doubt there's a lot of hyperbole, and probably some outright embellishments, but there may be a few pieces of information worthwhile.

Just a Sunday afternoon thought. I was amused Campbell seemed to beiieve Trump is at war with the FBI, which may be the case now.

Gracias!

Manipulating 'important' men via sex is an age-old spy trick. You don't suppose Lisa Page could have been a Russian plant?

Broom closets have more privacy, though. J.Edgar was careful when he designed it.

I viscerally hate revisionist history, aka. knocking down statues due to new evidence, or taking a name out of a text book due to personal reveulsion of gays, or some such, but I always chuckle when I hear the name of the FBI building.

You aren't old enough to remember Hoover in person. Ike, JFK, LBJ and even Nixon were afraid of the guy. He was the origin of Deep State. He wrote the damn manual.

How/why did Republicans allow Deep State corruption to become so one-sided?

They were oblivious to what Rudi Duschke called "der Lange Marsch durch die Institutionen" or "the long March through the institutions. Over fifty years ago the Marxists were resolved to take over the schools first, then the media, then the government.

They did it with spectacular thoroughness to the point that we now have speech codes, rage mobs, and cancel culture and none of that even relies on the power of government to subjugate individuals to conform to the demands of the leftists. Republicans largely (with the exception of a few like Pat Buchanan and Rush Limbaugh) have just watched slack-jawed as the Constitution was shredded by counter revolutionary Marxists in all three branches of government. That's how we got here.

OK. So when do we get to see the McCabe-Page text messages? As prolific as she was with Strzok there have to be at least a few thousand between her and McCabe. She worked for McCabe and surely there would be text messages between her and him even if they weren't having an affair and some of those messages would have been about the same topic the preoccupied her and Strzok.

Damn good answer to a question I assumed everyone knew the answer to.

I honestly don't understand how folks, not all Americans, but many erudite people, could fight each of these stair step socialist policies, but not really get what was happening. I suppose it would be one thing if marxism/communism/socilism had never been tried, ala 1917 Russia. But damn, we have about 10 really outstanding examples in the last 80 years, and another 5, or so, in the last 25 years.

There's really no excuse. Sorry for the derail, it's just frustrating.

Don't forget the Overton Window...
Quote:

According to Lehman, the concept is just a description of how ideas work, not advocacy of extreme policy proposals. In an interview with the New York Times, he said, "It just explains how ideas come in and out of fashion, the same way that gravity explains why something falls to the earth. I can use gravity to drop an anvil on your head, but that would be wrong. I could also use gravity to throw you a life preserver; that would be good."[7] But since its introduction into political discourse, others have used the concept of shifting the window to promote ideas outside it, with the intention of making less fringe ideas acceptable by comparison.[8] The "door-in-the-face" technique of persuasion is similar.
They have moved "mainstream" thinking in their preferred direction using exactly this approach. Like boiling the frog...slow temperature increases make it acceptable; we don't mind, until the cumulative result is where we are...

Caution:
It appears that the OANN report saying that Page was having an affair with both Strzok & McCabe may be fake news. Sidney Powell thinks it may not be true. Perhaps more will be revealed in the morning.

Not to disagree with you, but to make a point...

So, are you saying we should ride this American plane all the way to the scene of the crash? And walk away to...?

My point is I believe that the American Age of Innocence has died, and it began to die following 9-11. The last three years is the turning point.

Much like Plato's Allegory of the Cave, our experiences over the last 20 yrs, the political atmosphere of the last 3, and the on-going investigations into (more than likely) the criminal actions of some to take down our country has forever changed us, and the "American Experiment" as well. Remember, Ben Franklin warned us, "...if you can keep it."

And, just as the allegory concludes, we can't go back; we can't recapture that innocence, nor convince everyone that we should. The America in which we grew up has mutated; it is, and will be, different.

I don't think we will lose our country, but it will be different. And we can't go back. Walk on; and preserve our principles of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

Yes! 73 and I'm a 'first-hand' witness. The 'good ole days'...they were. Only thing I disagree with in your post is, "IT" began with US entry into Viet Nam, not 9-11. We lost an unbiased media with 'Nam' and then Watergate. As we NOW know, Viet Nam began/sustained via a Govt. hoax and poof...public innocence GONE. Wished we could 'go back' but you're right...it won't happen.
