The BOTs got their marching orders. Nothing new about Twitter.

Conservatives know if they say anything to break up the liberal circle jerk, they'll get attacked, banned, and probably doxxed so it is better to say nothing.

Sidney Powell just made a comment about Comey on Lou Dobbs' program. Something to the effect...Comey may not be sleeping well tonight knowing that the first person charged (McCabe) usually ends up with the best plea deal.

The window for being useful is usually a narrow one. Sit for a Queen for Day the moment a target letter or a publicly made referral for prosecution is made. That is, if one is smart and have good attorneys for a client, who is lower on the food chain.

McCabe is not low on the food chain. He's near the top. Too near. McCabe was promoted and brought onto the 7th Floor by Comey. McCabe and Comey were and are fellow travelers.

McCabe might as well be Gomer Pyle to Comey's Sergeant Carter.

That wasn't the actual case for either Flynn nor Manafort.

Except this first case is pretty much a slam dunk -- the interview where he lied 4 times was recorded, not to mention he was warned beforehand the purpose of the interview & the consequences for lying. McCabe is going to be found guilty if his case goes to trial, & that is going to make it far more difficult for him regarding the bigger, more serious charges that likely are looming in the near future. Being convicted of lying to the FBI in a formal, recorded interview would pretty much destroy one's credibility regarding an appearance before any subsequent jury.

I'm sure lying to the feds is under U.S.C. blah blah, and that it's been covered here, but I'll feel immensely better if I know what the potential jail terms are for McCabe. If Soros comes along and says I'll pump $1 million to $2 million into your account in the Cayman's after your 2 year term in jail if you don't flip, then he probably won't. But, if he's going to get 2 to 5 years per count, and is convicted on each count, then we've got something!

Make sense, or am I way off base?

Oh, I'm oonvinced that an operation of this magnitude doesn't just come together in a couple of years. If some enterprising individual comes along and reviews the hiring timeline of each of the 50 to 100 people involved in this, which would have to go all the way back to the Clinton administration, it would make a pretty decent story. Getting Comey, Brennan, McCabe, Strzok, etc., all in place at one time has to be an extremely cunning plan, and would be a one brick at a time type of story. It would entail people we haven't even heard of yet, and would certainly include judges, activists, and folks in State, the CIA, DOD, NSA, and most of all, the DOJ.

McCabe will go to trial. He will take his odds on s single member of the jury being a committed Trump enemy, which isn't that much of a stretch given venue. He will aim for a mistrial.

First of all, good, I hope his trial last for a couple of weeks.

Secondly, I also hope he has over $1M in attorneys fees. That will be quite a few office visits for his medical doctor wife to schedule.

What a wanker!

8:17 AM edit: I forgot about the McCabe GoFundMe account. Didn't that thing get over $1M? I'm sure McCabe is being pressured by some Dem politician to give that money to them, and when they get elected, the case will go away.

From comments. Nice summary of Flynn prosecution.

Quote:

Flynn did NOT lie to the FBI. People plead guilty when theyre innocent all the time. Weissman, the guy in charge of the Mueller investigation and Flynns prosecution, is infamous for using thug tactics to win prosecutions that are ultimately overturned. Sydney Powell wrote a best seller about Weissman and the DOJs corrupt tactics, License to Lie. Flynn was set up and used to try to take Trump out before he could uncover the corruption in both parties that had infected DC. Weissman illegally hid the evidence that Flynn was innocent, evidence Flynn needed to clear himself of the false charges. Then Weissman threatened to destroy Flynns son by targetting him too unless Flynn plead guilty to lying. Weissman needed a guilty plea to smear Trump and hopefully bait Trump into intervening so he could be charged with obstruction and impeached. They were baiting Trump to stop them by initiating vicious prosecutions of people Trump cared about; people who were ONLY targetted because they had known Trump. Thankfully Trump did not intervene to save anyone from persecution. Anyway, Flynns son didnt have money for attorneys to defend himself. He and his wife just had a child. They would have been ruined. To spare his son, Flynn plead guilty to making a misstatement even though even Comey said under oath to Congress that Flynn had NOT lied. Hopefully this helps you understand a bit why people are shocked and sickened by what happened. As you said, a General like Flynn, a life long old school Democrat who values honor, would know enough not to lie especially about something that was NOT illegal at all. He didnt lie until he pled guilty of lying to save his son. Imo by that time he had other reasons to plead guilty. Hes arguably the greatest living spook he was part of a sting operation to ensnare those involved in Spygate and the failed coup.

That all makes sense...except there's one red herring or one aspect that needs to be clarified. I think Aggiehawg has already brought it to light. While all this was going on with Flynn, where was his previous legal team? Surely they were present during all of the interviews of Flynn by Team Mueller as well as were involved in all correspondence & legal maneuvers. Team Mueller must possess something to hold over Covington & Burling lawyers. I know that one of Flynn's former lawyers was called as a government witness during the trial of Flynn's partner in that Turkish/Gulen lobbying case. Could Team Mueller have been threatening behind the scenes to file charges against Covington & Burling since they were involved in those Turkish dealings & the FARA business?

Joe Pieka and Sztrok advised Flynn echo'd McCabe's comment to Flynn that he didn't need a lawyer present.

The FBI's integrity is utterly unrecoverable at this point, but Pietka might save some DoJ credibility if he is indeed the whistle blower/singing about what all happened here.

Well they went after Skadden, Arps on FARA arising out of the Greg Craig Ukraine work, so that is definitely a possibility. Instead of withdrawing as Flynn's criminal defense counsel with such a blatant conflict of interest, they doubled down and managed to make the FARA stuff go away by having Flynn falsely plea to lying to the FBI. With no FARA charges against Flynn there would be no FARA charges against them.

The above scenario is likely why Sydney Powell wants all of the FARA material as well. Although Judge Sullivan is skeptical if that info is relevant to Flynn's defense in the absence of a charge under FARA, she is arguing the evidence is part of a larger defense of egregious prosecutorial misconduct.

We'll know next month whether she has persuaded Judge Sullivan or not.

Interesting short thread about one of the Brady material requests by Sidney Powell.
The above meeting was important: Premeditation, & Comey had his hand in it. Remember Comey's comment: "I sent them." -- see below:

Since this isn't Powell's first rodeo with Weissmann (and has the book to boot), I would think that Sullivan would be more receptive to grant most of Powell's requests.

Before this is over, Powell will have more than enough for another book, & I would think that Sullivan would want to be portrayed in a favorable light again...similar to her first book.

This is the almost universal response in the twitter dome right now. It quickly went from rumors to truth and everyone is celebrating. When he actually does get indicted then people will have already made up their minds that Trump pulled some dirty tricks, double jeopardy, etc to get the indictment. IMO

The New York Times and Washington Post ran cover for libs and just made something up IMO. Then the info babe at MSNBC lit the fuse.
