I agree, but it is noteworthy that half the sdny staff has been cleaned out since the election. One must hope that americans are in place there now and maybe we unlock the coverups and get some justice.Rapier108 said:
Seeing how Epstein's arrest is out of the SDNY, I would not trust them to do anything without an ulterior motive which protects the Clintons and targets Trump.

Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm whose Democrat-financed Russia dossier fueled an FBI investigation into Donald Trump, pitched other stories about the Republican presidential candidate to Washington reporters, including an attempt to tie him to a convicted pedophile who was once buddies with former President Bill Clinton.
Journalist sources told The Washington Times that Fusion founder Glenn Simpson pushed the idea of a close relationship between Mr. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, who pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting sex from an underage girl.
The Trump-Epstein link appears purely social, far short of Mr. Clinton's 20-plus plane rides on Epstein's "Lolita Express" private jet around the globe in the early 2000s.
Ken Silverstein, the reporter who ultimately wrote an Epstein-Trump report, confirmed to The Times that Fusion had sourced the story. Mr. Silverstein, founder and editor of WashingtonBabylon.com who wrote the story for Vice.com, defended Mr. Simpson as a solid source of information that must first be confirmed.....
With as much fake news as we know there is, I'm astounded that this practice was ever acceptableaggiehawg said:
If DOJ adopted a hard and fast rule against either their US Attorneys or the FBI using news accounts as evidence without their own separate corroboration, much of Fusion's usefulness would disappear, IMO.
Put an end to circular sourcing.
It was deeply frowned upon when I started practicing. If you tried to do that in open court, you would draw a hearsay objection with which the judge would agree.Quote:

Have to confess I have been wondering why Acosta is still at DOL. But maybe he turned state's evidence against his superiors who driving the bus from DC??Agnzona said:
Funny how all the press articles essentially assume Epstein is guilty and got off basically in Florida but none mention his high powered political friends.
After Mueller enters the chamber maybe someone will have "inadvertently" left their phone behind.VegasAg86 said:
I'm pretty sure Bob wants to be a part of the public spectacle. He'd insist on his testimony being transcribed if he didn't.
*****t for brains will run to the cameras and lie about what Mueller said, Mueller with say "no comment" and the media won't believe the Republicans telling them *****t for brains is a lying PoS.
Encouraging, right up to the end.....drcrinum said:

Very interesting read. I think it belongs on this thread rather than the Jeffery Epstein thread, but I'll post it there too.

Maybe this is the moment of Peak Swamp? Maybe it's the moment where we can see things begin, ever so slightly to improve.
Is it too little, too late? Likely. But something had to be done to keep our faith in our political and social institutions intact. Because otherwise that way leads to only chaos and collapse.
can someone demonstrate how any of that nonsense links together? It all seems like silly games to me. Why doesn't nostradamus just tell us what's going on without using arcane riddles?AgShaun00 said:

cbr has written some well reasoned and articulate posts, in this and other threads.lead said:
I'm cool with your credentials - I'll take them at face value. Part of me wants the swamp to be as thick and deep as described. But, for the love of God, please demonstrate how all of this lines up with the predictions of "q".
You are reading a little more into the situation with Concord than there is. Mueller and Weissmann screwed up by bringing the Internet Research case (of which Concord is one defendant) but not because Concord is as pure as the driven snow but because of what the prosecution could realistically prove in court under federal rules of evidence and the kooky Mueller/Weissmann legal theories.fasthorses05 said:
Since it's highly likely Concord is a done deal, what, or how much does it take for a company/corporation to suit the government in a situation like this?
I guess what I'm asking is Weissman/Mueller' decison to bring Concord to court is an obvious screw up. Is it a big enough screw-up to suit the government?
Trump wasn't messing around.Quote:
Lawyers with the Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General who are looking into the origins of an FBI investigation that was taken over by special counsel Robert Mueller reportedly interviewed the author of a dossier that alleged impropriety between President Trump's campaign and Russia.
The three attorneys working met with Christopher Steele in June during Trump's state visit to the U.K., two unidentified sources told Reuters.

One source told the news service that the investigation has apparently been extended on the basis of Steele's information.
