Quote:

Former CIA Director John Brennan said that, "not knowing," he would not be surprised if indictments produced by special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation were delivered this Friday. In an interview Tuesday night with MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell, Brennan said if a Trump family member is indicted that would signal the end of Mueller's investigation because Trump would probably fire him.

"I wouldn't be surprised if for example this week on Friday, not knowing anything about it, but Friday is the day the grand jury indictments come down and also this Friday is better than next Friday because next Friday is the 15th of March, which is the Ides of March," Brennan said. "And I don't think Robert Mueller will want to have that dramatic flair of the Ides of March when he is going to be delivering what I think are going to be are his indictments, the final indictments as well the report."

"I do think also if anybody from the Trump family, extended family is going to be indicted, it would be the final act of Mueller's investigation because Bob Muller and his team knows if he were to do something, indicting a Trump family member or if he were to go forward with indictment on criminal conspiracy involving U.S. persons, that would be that would basically be the deathknell of the special counsel's office because I don't believe Donald Trump would allow Bob Mueller to continue in the aftermath of those types of actions," Brennan said on MSNBC's 'The Last Word.'

Brennan clearly has inside information, or else he wouldn't be protesting so much that he doesn't.

I don't really like to view some of our own like that, since I viscerally dislike the Dems lockstep mentality of think like us, or else. I also believe I certainly don't know all of the details and information (behind the curtain, so to speak). Having said that, I honestly can't believe ANY Republican could know, or believe, the behavior of the Left isn't, at least, 80% political, and moving to impeach at all costs.

The standard retort from our side is the damage it will do to the left, and my reply is why would anyone think like that. They just took over the House, and gained some seats in the Senate. As I often say here about every 3-4 posts, NO human will stop a behavior until there's a penalty, or painful reason to do so. IF the Left didn't believe the Republicans weren't evil, then they may see the light, get angry, and push back. There just isn't any data to suggest those voters will change---independents---maybe.

Now, will they impeach? Hell yes they will. I'll be quite surprised if the Senate agrees, or even allows a trial. It will be an ideal time for our enemies to begin any clandestine operations. This will likely be Trump's biggest challenge. Alll of y'all know that DC is about 90% Dem.

The only reason I could legitimately see a Republican voting "yes" in the House would be for election reasons, but this isn't an election year, and most will forget about those actions, so why would a Righty join the chorous, so to speak?
Hate is how progressives sustain themselves. Without hate, introspection begins to slip into the progressive's consciousness, threatening the progressive with the truth: that their ideas and opinions are illogical, hypocritical, dangerous, and asinine.
This is backed by data.

Nobody expects impeachment of Trump to get him out of office. They just want to yell, "an impeached President shouldn't be appointing judges." They are horribly afraid that if Ginsburg goes, their access to wealth through public non-service will be greatly curtailed.

Judiciary is Graham's committee now. And he will ignore it. And then the House tries to impeach him. Just because they are that cray-cray.

He may be getting fed false information, or else he could be just hoping that Mueller and his cronies will go after Trump's family.

BTW, does Brennan still have his security clearance? Trump said he revoked it.

I'm not buying any of Brennan or Clapper's bs. I base that on on Trump's in your face attitude toward Mueller and the whole investigation. If he had any real concerns about it he wouldn't be saying the things he does about the whole process. He would be quiet and huddled w lawyers 24/7 and I'm not seeing that happening.

That might be when Felix Sater testifies, although I doubt that ends up being in public testimony, for several different reasons.

Quote:

A Soviet-born businessman who featured prominently in plans to build a Trump Tower in Moscow will testify in an open session on March 14 before the House Intelligence Committee, the panel's chairman announced Thursday.

Felix Sater, a former adviser to President Donald Trump, could shed light on his ill-fated collaboration with the president's former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to build a Trump Tower in the Russian capital.

It's supposed to be an open session hearing. We'll see. In the meantime, this morning I happened to stumble upon this tweet from last month. Sperry is often correct.

If you really want to learn things about Felix Sater's past, below is a detailed thread about Russian spying, Carter Page, & Felix Sater. The research into Sater begins at tweet #45. The author currently is still writing on this thread...

WOW! That was very interesting. How does Andrew Weismann keep ending up in sooo many cases, including Sater's?

I would think the FBI and DOJ would have strong objections to an open hearing for Sater, considering the years of his covert intelligence work.

Prosecutors in a case brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team asked a federal judge on Thursday to withhold 3.2 million "sensitive" documents from the Russian company Concord Management LLC because of national security and law enforcement concerns.

During a court hearing in Washington, government prosecutors told U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich there are about 3.2 million documents that no employee or officer of Concord Management LLC should be allowed to view outside of the United States as part of the discovery process.

Tuesday's hearing was chiefly an argument over how to handle millions of documents the government considers "sensitive" to national security and law enforcement matters.

Mueller has indicted Concord Management, and a number of its employees, for attempting to meddle in the 2016 presidential election.

Mueller's office said much of the discovery information they have provided to lawyers for Concord so far in the case has ended up on the internet as part of a "disinformation campaign" against Mueller's Russia investigation. But the special counsel's office stopped short of accusing Concord of leaking the discovery information to the Russian-linked twitter accounts behind the disinformation campaign.

"It's hard for me to weigh competing interests about documents in the abstract," Friedrich said, noting the government has only provided the defense about 500 documents so far. "Five hundred versus three point two million... this is heavily on the government's side."

<snip>

The rest of the hearing was sealed and the public was removed from the courtroom.

No trial date has been set in the Concord case and Dubelier hinted that there may be much more "complicated evidentiary issues" to get through before trial.
Yeah, well, no s***. I'd say there's a problem with the evidence.

Because the principal of the company is also under indictment. CIPA wouldn't entirely take care of the problem, unless they dismissed the indictment against him.

To tell you the truth, I'm sort of surprised Putin didn't send one of his GRU agents to the states to contest the Russian bot case, too. Discovery would have been the same nightmare but the chances that Putin would find some nuggets of information that would be useful would still have been very good.

It was idiotic for Team Mueller to have brought either of those indictments, unless they were kept sealed, in my opinion.

https://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-uncovers-doj-records-showing-numerous-bruce-ohr-communications-with-fusion-gps-and-christopher-steele/

Quote:

Judicial Watch announced today it received 339 pages of heavily redacted records from the U.S. Department of Justice which reveal that former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr remained in regular contact with former British spy and Fusion GPS contractor Christopher Steele after Steele was terminated by the FBI in November 2016 for revealing to the media his position as an FBI confidential informant.

The records show that Ohr served as a go-between for Steele by passing along information to "his colleagues" on matters relating to Steele's activities. Ohr also set up meetings with Steele, regularly talked to him on the telephone and provided him assistance in dealing with situations Steele was confronting with the media.

Judicial Watch obtained the records through a March 2018 Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed after the Justice Department failed to respond a December 2017 request Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-00490))......

"These smoking gun documents show that Christopher Steele, a Hillary Clinton operative and anti-Trump foreign national, secretly worked hand-in-glove with the Justice Department on its illicit targeting of President Trump," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "These documents leave no doubt that for more than a year after the FBI fired Christopher Steele for leaking, and for some 10 months after Donald Trump was sworn in as president, Bruce Ohr continued to act as a go-between for Steele with the FBI and Justice Department. The anti-Trump Russia investigation, now run by Robert Mueller, has been thoroughly compromised by this insider corruption.".....

Not just documents related to Carter Page's FISA, but all documents relating to any FISA applications on individuals associated Trump's campaign. Sounds like more FISAs existed besides the one on Carter Page.
