I may be a hick from Texas, but this is baffling. The NY Times article cites very vague references to Trump's lies and attacking the press. Absolutely no examples concerning Trump but there is an astounding number of lies and actual attacks on the press by the previous administration including:drcrinum said:

Never Trumpers are beginning to crawl out from under their rocks now that the Midterms are over. They must be afraid of something.
- spying unlawfully on the press
- executive orders such as DACA which even Obama admitted could not hold up as Constitutional.
Just a couple examples.
Calling the MSM fake news is not the same as illegal spying on the news media. Trump has press meetings and does not shy away from calling on News media reps that are known to be antagonistic toward him.
Pulling a press pass for an obnoxious reporter(I use the term here very loosely) is not even close to attacking the press.
