Michael Morell, a career intelligence officer who was acting and deputy director of the CIA from 2010 to 2013, expressed concerns that high-level political operatives connected to Donald Trump's campaign are working on behalf of Russian interests.
In a Friday conference call hosted by Hillary Clinton's campaign, Morell railed against Trump for being complacent with hacks that the US intelligence community has pinned on the Russian government.
"The thing I'm deeply concerned about it that the people around Donald Trump, the Paul Manaforts, the Roger Stones, the Carter Pages, may be into this more deeply, maybe have relationships with Russia, financial relationships and they're actually working on behalf of the Russians in getting this material out and spreading this around," Morell said, referencing Trump's former campaign chairman and two current advisers....

So July 27, 2017 is when Mueller and Rosenstein had the Page/Strzok bomb dropped on them. At the same time, Mueller had just raided Manafort's home in the early early morning. Oooops! A few days later comes the secret Rosenstein memo changing/expanding/clarifying pick-a-word Mueller's jurisdiction is completed on August 2, 2017.
Also, I was unaware that the IG had been investigating the 2016 election for that long a period of time and that it wasn't just about Hillary's email investigations.

Even at this late date, with all we know now, where were the actual Russian Russians who were cultivating Trump campaign officials?
Is Halper supposed to be the Russian? Is Mifsud? Those are the only two we know had repeated contacts with Page and Papadopoulos.
Even in Mueller's opus, the indictment of Russians and Russian companies, there is no allegation of a connection or nexus with anyone Trump related.
Another revelation that was lost in the fray is, Mueller's hiring practices appeared highly partisan to say the least. But his actual indictments were anything but. Mueller had been put on notice by Horowitz that he was watching what's going on, right off the bat. Questions have been asked in this thread if Horowitz had the authority to look into what Mueller is doing. not only does Horowitz have the ability to investigate Mueller's group, he actively is, and has been since at least July 14, 2017. Horowitz is good at what he does and very thorough it appears.aggiehawg said:

Read my sentence again. Mueller has done his best to identify the so-called bad actors who actually undertook concrete actions to meddle by way of social media. No Trump connection.Quote:Quote:

I've been wondering on this as well as who were the Russian sources for the dossier? I did read a while back about the communications from Russians with Papadopoulos. Was that all through Midsud?
Answer #3 .... but unfortunately, removal is the only penalty authorized for violation of the Hatch ActRoscoePColtrane said:
So they're all pissy that those texts got released, and yet when this latest "confidential" memo gets printed by the NYT, that's OK?RoscoePColtrane said:
Here's a really good thing to pay attention to. The reaction of the Democrats to the DOJ releasing the Text messages to the media. No concern whatsoever about the fact that two People in the DOJ were carrying on like this and the fact that they were likely breaking the law, they were just concerned that they were exposed and it wasn't a good look for the left.
Jerry Nadler fired off this letter to the DOJ Spokesperson pissed off and wanted to know who authorized this release. and Sarah Flores responded on Twitter
But Horowitz wasn't satisfied with that response and gave his take on it as well
So no more fun from Judge Ellis until the end of June. Oh well.Quote:

Another note: Adam Jed just filed a notice of appearance for team Mueller. He's an appellate lawyer. I think they know where things are headed in the district court and are getting ahead of the game when they need to head to the Obama-appointee laden 4th circuit.

Former Acting CIA Director Michael Morell, who endorsed Hillary Clinton and called Donald Trump a dupe of Russia, cast doubt Wednesday night on allegations that members of the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.
Morell, who was in line to become CIA director if Clinton won, said he had seen no evidence that Trump associates cooperated with Russians. He also raised questions about the dossier written by a former British intelligence officer, which alleged a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia....
Morell said he had learned that the former officer, Christopher Steele, paid his key Russian sources, and interviewed them through intermediaries....
He continued: "I had two questions when I first read it. One was, How did Chris talk to these sources? I have subsequently learned that he used intermediaries.
"And then I asked myself, why did these guys provide this information, what was their motivation? And I subsequently learned that he paid them. That the intermediaries paid the sources and the intermediaries got the money from Chris. And that kind of worries me a little bit because if you're paying somebody, particularly former FSB officers, they are going to tell you truth and innuendo and rumor, and they're going to call you up and say, 'hey, let's have another meeting, I have more information for you,' because they want to get paid some more.
"I think you've got to take all that into consideration when you consider the dossier."...
All true, and 50% of the country will ignore it.oysterbayAG said:
Lately, Trump and Giuliani have become more and more brazen in their comments about the spying and Mueller's investigation etc. It appears obvious to me that Trump & Giuliani know pretty much everything that is going to be released, phase by phase, by Michael Horowitz and how devastating it's going to be for the Obama Administration, Mueller, the Democratic Party, MSM and all the connected Swamp Creatures Etc. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch !
