So Clapper's leak to CNN about Comey briefing Trump on the salacious contents of the dossier on January 6, 2017, at Trump Tower was pre-planned and coordinated with the FBI & CNN. Definitely a conspiracy.
There's some high level individuals in the Obama administration that have to do time. If Trump really is serious about draining the swamp, he really doesn't have any choice but to unleash the hounds and let the chips fall where they may.

It's going to be jolting for many Americans but it's got to happen in order to restore faith in our government. Extremely sobering.

What would be FAR MORE jolting is if they are allowed to get away with it.
I completely agree. As I said, let the chips fall where they may. I was just commenting that for those Americans that may not follow this stuff as close as us here on TexAgs and this thread, it will be shocking for them to finally understand the level of corruption and illegality that was present in the Obama administration.
30% of Americans will refuse to believe any of it and will cling to the belief that Trump is a tyrannical despot.

THAT is the sad part.

Agreed. Stubborn partisan self delusion is all they will have, but it will be enough.

Somewhat pleasant long read on how to take nothing and make it into something; i.e., what the UK intel folks did with Page & Papadopoulos.
But here is what I found interesting. In previous news articles we have learned that Halper invited Page to the Cambridge Symposium on July 11-12, 2016, a few days after Page's presentation in Moscow, + paid his round trip airfare, and there was one other UK intel person present, Dearlove, former MI6 head. Well, according to the above article, another person of interest was also present at the Cambridge Symposium -- Christopher Steele! Just a coincidence? I think not. You see, the first mention of Page in Steele's dossier is the July 19, 2016 report (Pages 9-10) which highlight's Page's trip to Moscow and his nefarious meetings with Kremlin bigwigs; i.e., one week after the Cambridge Symposium Page is written up in the dossier.

Exactly, this is a Seditious conspiracy by the letter of the law all the coup and treason talk is ridiculous

People use the term "treason" because it meets the definition to the letter. It doesn't meet the U.S. Code definition of treason.

This is not either a correct or sound statement. We live in republic with seperation of powers. So what you are really saying is this. If Trump does not run over the consititution declare marshall law and take absolute powers and to arrest and imprison all these 'jackwagons' then you are going to start turn against him!??!??!??!???!

No, the buck does not stop with him in this particular venue of government.

I think Rudy's job is to publicly make Mueller's job as difficult as possible without ever giving away Trump's real position.

This.

Don't ever take anything Trimp or the legal teal say at face value. The are jacking with Mueller. My guess is they are buying time for the OIG to roll out his report and indictments start being handed down. Mueller's number 1 witness is Comey who will be referred for indictment. His number 1 witness is a proven liar.

Also, by buying time it allows Mueller and his team to face the wrath of the Federal Judges.

"By force" would be a tall hill for a US prosecutor ... he'd probably prefer to chase a lesser crime with higher odds.

Well, "overthrow" and "put down" don't appear to require "by force". I say this because of the inclusion of "to" before "destroy"...sentence construction using parallelism...and the use of "by force" in consecutive items of listed conduct.

So, can we shoehorn this conspiracy into conduct that constitutes overthrowing or putting down?

Worth picking up again. I re-read the entire original (Frank authored) series every 5-7 years. It's good every time, and I always find new relevance. Brilliant writing. The Princess Imrulan et al "history" excerpts at the beginning of each chapter are worth perusing even if you don't read the text itself.

Pretty sure "seditious conspiracy" has to pass the "by force" litmus. Sedition usually applies to radical militias, terrorists, anarchists, etc. that conspire to overthrow the gov using violence.
