Hopefully it is a subpoenaed grand jury appearance or an order from Judge Ellis to get his boney ass down to Virginia.

Naw, we can't be that lucky.

So Rosenstein is going to weasel out of the meeting? That explains why Trump refused to answer a question about him earlier today.

What a POS Rosenstein has turned out to be.
Not sure he had a choice in this, it appears very deliberate.

What? As in Rosenstein has resigned or been fired?

Y'all were on Comey nearly from the beginning of this deal, certainly before December 2nd, '17. I do take a lot of time deciding character/honesty, by watching actions, way over comments, but Comey definitely buffaloed me!

As prosecutors/lawyers, etc., do y'all run into folks that are that smooth on a regular basis, because it's a little disconcerting to me to take such a long time to pick it up?
Hate is how progressives sustain themselves. Without hate, introspection begins to slip into the progressive's consciousness, threatening the progressive with the truth: that their ideas and opinions are illogical, hypocritical, dangerous, and asinine.
This is backed by data.

My problem with this is the NSA doesn't run cutouts or place informants, that's not what they do.

Perhaps there is something in the OIG Report currently being reviewed by the principals that makes Rosenstein's position 'awkward'.

Depends. A very smart liar who is very proficient in their field is harder to detect.

Idiots are easier and more numerous, in my experience.

But both are always susceptible to the embellishment issue. They volunteer just that little extraneous throwaway line or a few of them, in an effort to make their story more credible. More often than not it is a rehearsed line with details that can be easily disproven. Credibility...shot.

Embellishments. A common tell.

In the full Caputo interview he said the person who claimed to have the emails was a former contractor who worked for a govt agency. Don't think the informant was working on behalf of NSA.

Explosive. Former Trump campaign aide Michael Caputo appeared on Fox News moments ago with stunning statements. According to Caputo a contractor with a government agency was attempting to pass to him, through an intermediary, Hillary Clinton emails; and the intermediary reached out to Caputo to inform him therein.

In hindsight, Caputo now suggests the "contractor of the government agency" was attempting to set him up -and by extension the Trump campaign- in a sting operation similar to the recently revealed "Crossfire Hurricane" operation conducted by CIA operative Stefan Halper through Carter Page and George Papadopoulos.

This could have massive ramifications. Apparently the intermediary is willing to go on record explaining the contact from the government agency and the contractor therein. Additionally, according to Caputo, he has already informed the Mueller investigation of these contacts and apparently the Special Counsel is attempting to hide the evidence.

There was an intermediary who is willing to go on the record.

I suspect that it wasn't his choice.

You mean like the fact that his signature is on the FISA application and expansion of Muellers authority? The very docs they want to look at?

Angus King on CNN repeating the, "I would think trump should be happy that they were trying to figure out if Russia was infiltrating his campaign" BS. I guess that is the official spin on this.

Then a recusal from Rosenstein should be forthcoming shortly.

Absolutely. With as much discussion on CNN needing a hook with the clapper/comey dossier briefing perhaps this is the "hook" fusion/obama DOJ we're looking for to give credibility to the dossier.

Why a joint motion? Wasn't Concord pushing for a speedy trial? Why is Concord helping to step on the brakes?

I'd like to think Concord is either letting them dig their own grave, or being agreeable because they have the upper hand.

Thoughts?

Thanks for answering my question before I could post it! But why would Concord want a delay?

Also, if Rosenstein recuses, who gets appointed and more importantly, who does the appointing? Isn't the devil you know better than the one you don't know?

Because Mueller was threatening a data dump of a huge size and mostly in Russian. (Which means they indicted way too soon and have no idea what the hell they have but put that aside for the moment.) In the background, there are some negotiations going on, I'd suspect. Probably simply a delay tactic on Mueller's part to run out the clock until closer to the mid-terms.

I honestly don't know what "forensic images that must be viewed using specialized tools," even means.

Well, Concord wants to see what Mueller has. It will take some time to go through 2 terabytes of documents. Plus Concord would like to expose the whole deal & file various motions. Biggest one off the bat is how is the government going to prove interference with the election? What crime was committed?
On the other hand, why isn't Mueller pushing for a speedy trial? Is he not ready? All those fancy lawyer experts and he's not ready for a trial?

Tucker Carson is must see TV tonight with Clovis talking about interaction with who he in hindsight thinks was FBI informant.

Then tucker had on Kiriakou talking about his run in with mueller and Brennan resulting in incarceration for something he claims was totally fabricated by them.

Clovis describes his interaction as two faculty members in the cafeteria just talking... must be Halper... that he in retrospect felt was probing for an audit trail to the missing Hilary emails and who would be negotiating to get a hold of them. In other words trying to justify an investigation to keep it going and procure more warrants.
