It looks more and more like he's just there to protect the swamp. The powerful truly have their own justice system.
Probably doesn't change much, I agree. If anything, it increases Richman's criminal culpability. But it is a sign that Comey knew what he was doing and was working around the rules.ScottH_01 said:aggiehawg said:Ding! Ding! Ding!Quote:
Yeah, does this mean Comey didn't leak but the other guy did? Is that what they are trying to do?
That guy was busy - lawyer, friend of Comey, personal lawyer to Comey, professor, friend of newspaper reporters and now special job at the FBI.
Sounds like they are trying to find a title that makes Comey's leak of classified info ok where he doesn't get indicted.
Call me an intuitive, fortune teller... call me Jeanne Dixon or Edgar Casey but I'd wager Richman's "special status" occurred during 2016, under Comey's direction.
Does ot really change things for Comey though?
1. I highly doubt this guy was cleared to see the director's classified materials, just b/c you have clearance doesn't mean you are allowed to see anything.
2. Comey was a former employee at the time he shared the memos. Whether he had rights to them at all is a question, but there is no question that he had zero authority to share them with anyone.
In Hillary world, they can apparently.RoscoePColtrane said:

Court should be interesting, I'd love to see that show, OJ style coverage, Isn't Trump's sister still a judge? Barnett could sell that for billionsaggiehawg said:In Hillary world, they can apparently.RoscoePColtrane said:

Normally? Hell, no.
This is where I am, too. I fear that all of these "bombs" that Q and others point to will end up being sabotaged/subverted by the MSM and the average schmoe will never hear of them. Certainly not in time, or with enough effect, to alter any upcoming elections or get anyone put in jail or even really disgraced in any way.valvemonkey91 said:mrad85 said:
Every damn day we find new "stuff" relating to this circus.
I'm at the point where I believe the FBI, DNC, Obama, and I'm sure quite a few others were all in on it together. It's so big, and runs so deep, there is no way anything will happen.
^^^ THIS ^^^
No way any major player will answer for any crimes. We may get Comey or McCabe or Lynch on some BS obstruction charge, but NOTHING will happen to any of the Obama or Hillary inner circle. I have ZERO faith in our judicial system. It's been weaponized.
I posted an article earlier in the thread comparing the results of Watergate to the results of Mueller's investigation under the same time frame. In short, Archibald Cox and Leon Jaworski not only obtained many times more scalps, they got big scalps all the way to the Attorney General, the President's closest advisors, Dean, Haldeman and Erlichman. Here's the LINK if you missed it.Quote:

Well...that was back when people believed that the press was still the press, not just a bunch of shills for the Democrats. It's why the same tactic didn't work against Trump.aggiehawg said:

Ponder that.
Nixon was never a sympathetic character and had always had a horrible relationship with the press. Oh and he was guilty as sin. But the press was largely Dem, even back then. Of course that didn't stop Walter Cronkite from sideswiping LBJ who he considered JFK's usurper.blindey said:Well...that was back when people believed that the press was still the press, not just a bunch of shills for the Democrats. If there is one thing that Comey excels at, it is throwing people in front of the bus to try and save his own hide.aggiehawg said:Probably doesn't change much, I agree. And my thinking is that people STILL believe that the press is the press and nod shills for the Dems. Which circles me back to a question I had awhile ago, and that is how do we get that changed when only CNN, etc. are said to be credible while TCTH and truepundit and all those (and Q and Wictor, etc.) are deemed biased and not credible.blindey said:Well...that was back when people believed that the press was still the press, not just a bunch of shills for the Democrats. Multiple former FBI officials, along with a Congressional official, say that while there may have been internal squabbling over the FBI's investigation into the Clinton Foundation at the time, there was allegedlyanother "stand-down" order by McCabe regarding the opening of the investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of her private email for official government business.
McCabe's stand-down order regarding Clinton's private email use happened after The New York Times first reported Hillary Clinton Used Personal Email Account at State Dept., Possibly Breaking Rules in March 2015 and before the official investigation was requested by the Justice Department toward the end of July 2015.
One of the other things about Trump that people never seemed to think through: this is a guy that has made a name for himself by having attention paid to him. And not even positive attention. Just attention. What do people expect to achieve by paying more attention to him?aggiehawg said:
Trump has been doing press for 40 years. And he's innocent of that of which they accuse him.
Watergate made them (the press) "King" makers, in their minds. All downhill ever since!blindey said:Well...that was back when people believed that the press was still the press, not just a bunch of shills for the Democrats. It's why the same tactic didn't work against Trump.aggiehawg said:
