Ie there was a new paradigm developing is using intel warrants to conduct criminal investigations, and the Trump Russia matter wasn't a one-off?

Note the dates on the calls. April of 2019. Well before the July phone call but after Yovanovitch was recalled as ambassador.

If Schiff obtained a subpoena, he would say so, wouldn't he? Yet he being coy about how he obtained them? Maybe from the CIA? The NSC?

If you just thought that perhaps some FISA judges were duped rather than corrupt this should change that thinking.

The other thing that is quite weird is the capture of a phone call between Jay Sekulow (Trump attorney) and Giuliani (Trump attorney)? 702 query?

Would it shock anyone if it comes out that the SDNY got a Title 1 FISA warrant on Rudy?

Something I just thought of.

If they had a FISA on Parnas, wouldn't the "two-hops" include Parnas -> Guliani -> Trump?

A national security letter (NSL) is an administrative subpoena issued by the United States government to gather information for national security purposes. NSLs do not require prior approval from a judge. The Stored Communications Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Right to Financial Privacy Act authorize the United States government to seek such information that is "relevant" to authorized national security investigations. By law, NSLs can request only non-content information, for example, transactional records and phone numbers dialed, but never the content of telephone calls or e-mails.

NSLs typically contain a nondisclosure requirement forbidding the recipient of an NSL from disclosing that the FBI had requested the information. The nondisclosure provision must be authorized by the Director of the FBI, and only after he or she certifies "that otherwise there may result a danger to the national security of the United States; interference with a criminal, counterterrorism, or counterintelligence investigation; interference with diplomatic relations; or danger to the life or physical safety of any person." Moreover, a recipient of the NSL may still challenge the nondisclosure provision in federal court.
So Wray had to authorize this.

So doesn't look like FISA. And no contents.

If in fact, those were obtained under a Nat Sec Letter. And not a FISA warrant or 702 query. Still doesn't explain the capture of a phone call between Sekulow and Rudy, without it being a FISA, unless Wray authorized a Nat Sec Letter against the President's lawyer, Giuliani.

That would be extraordinary.

How does any of this apply to Schiff and his "investigation?

Nothing Trump has been accused of in this ridiculous process equals "danger to the national security of the United States; interference with a criminal, counterterrorism, or counterintelligence investigation; interference with diplomatic relations; or danger to the life or physical safety of any person".

Yeah, but the PRESIDENT is allowed to do this. You can't justify signing off on a NSL if the justification is that the President is exercising one of his Constitutionally enumerated powers.

I get that a hack politician may make the request, but the Director of the FBI cannot validate that request.

Do not disagree. How and from where Schiff obtained these calls will end being a new scandal, leading to what IDK.

Starting to think this impeachment nonsense is a honeypot. Let schiff do what he wants and then when his head, dick, and ballsack are locked firmly into place, release the blade to slice them all off with one fell cut.

Catherine Herridge reporting. Start at 1:00 -- about 6 minutes.
According to her source (a single source):
All FISA renewals on Carter Page were deficient in new evidence & exculpatory info.
Initial FISA was legitimate though.
Likely multiple criminal referrals.

Nothing will happen to anyone and no significant admission of wrong doing will be presented to the public. If the truth was reported and documented, the public would demand the FBI and the CIA and the FISA court be dismantled. Can't have that.

The institution will protect itself above all else.
But that is exactly why it should be called for, regardless of the findings or admissions. There is such a thing as credibility too damaged. They should be rebuilt anyway -- even if ten courts say all the anti-Trump and pro-Democrat meddling in the 2016 election was legitimate.

This has been my theory for a while. Brennan, et al. duped the FBI to get this whole thing rolling.

Edit: Then listen starting at 30:00. He breaks down Lisa Page's testimony about their sources.
