Good read. Trump is winning & controlling the narrative. The MSM/Left/Dems are not able to keep up with his tweet barrages & are suffering mental exhaustion/fatigue.

Well said.

It is Democrats, not Trump, who launched a destructive special counsel investigation based on manufactured evidence that divided the country for more than two years. It is Democrats, not Trump, who ridicule Republicans and Trump-supporting Americans as racist rubes who want children locked in cages and concentration camps built on the southern border.

It is Democrats, not Trump, who orchestrated the vilest attack on a Supreme Court nominee in American history. It is Democrats, not Trump, who now wish for an economic recession. It is Democrats, not Trump, who side with foreign adversaries against the best interests of the country. It is Democrats, not Trump, fomenting violence against political foes.
I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled.

Good read. Lays out how Rosenstein authorized Mueller to go after Flynn Jr. in his October memo (Rosenstein's third memo), & consequently Gen. Flynn plead guilty a month later. I hope Sidney Powell's quest for classified documents includes Rosenstein's scope memos to Mueller.

Trump Attorney Jay Sekulow posted a tweet on Monday alleging fired FBI Director James Comey may have colluded with the Clinton lawyers to circumvent federal law.

Sekulow also reported on the second FBI operative Jordan Rae Kelly who replaced Comey spy Anthony Ferrante who was placed into White House to spy for the FBI against the Trump administration.

FBI oprerative Jordan Rae Kelly took over for Ferrante and gave him access inside the Trump White House after he left government to work for Buzzfeed.

Were there any ethical lawyers on Team Mueller? And Jesse Liu needs to be fired, ASAP. It's happening on her watch.

IIRC, Brady violations are considered some of the worst violations a lawyer can engage in.

aggiehawg, do you think that attorneys in one case could use the government's actions in another case to demonstrate bad faith or intentional bad acts in their own case? You know, a course of dealing, pattern of conduct type of thing? Also, has RICO ever been applied to the government itself or to its employees?
Good questions. Generally speaking, the lawyer signing false pleadings or deliberately misleading the court are the specific targets of the judge's ire. So unless it is the same attorney involved in both cases, that would be a no.

As to RICO, unlikely it comes into play here because there was not a true criminal enterprise as motive for the acts done. Better addressed under conspiracy statutes, IMO.

it really is sad/crazy...it seems the folks with the least regard for our laws are government lawyers (or other government "employees" who, of course, all have law degrees).

Well if we had a decent federal judiciary they wouldn't be allowed to do it nor get away with it.

^ TRUE this. Instead, what we have is a group of unprincipled, crony, partisan, biased POS judges serving ONLY their elitist constituency and their own personal interests. There is only one person in the Government that has the wherewithal to bring fair Justice to all these slimy characters, and that person is William Barr. Lets see what happens.

What's also disturbing is that, according to that same report: "Between the election and April 2017, when Ferrante finally left the White House, the Trump NSC division supervisor was not allowed to get rid of Ferrante." In other words, Comey tried to ensure that the White House had no authority to remove Ferrante. Somehow the director of the FBI superseded the authority of the President of the United States, implanting an unremovable agent.

To make matters worse, the reports indicate that "Ferrante was replaced in the White House by another FBI official, Jordan Rae Kelly, who signed security logs for Ferrante to enter the White House while he was contracted by BuzzFeed. Kelly left the White House last year and also joined FTI Consulting" the same firm Ferrante works for.

Jeremy Hammond, a hacker who admitted stealing files from an intelligence firm, has been brought to Virginia to testify before a grand jury that he believes is the panel investigating WikiLeaks and its founder Julian Assange, Hammond's representatives said in a statement.

The move is a new indication that prosecutors in the Eastern District of Virginia are expanding the WikiLeaks investigation even as Assange fights extradition from England......

Now if Barr would just order prosecutors to negotiate with Assange -- immunity from prosecution in exchange for definitive proof as to who passed the DNC emails to him.

My understanding is that the US can't increase the charges against Assange on the current extradition proceedings. The time for that has passed. Not sure if they wanted to charge him with more counts that they couldn't start a whole new extradition proceeding though. Extradition varies from country to country.

They can always dangle immunity with a Queen for a Day if the British authorities allow it while Assange is in lock -up.

Hate is how progressives sustain themselves. Without hate, introspection begins to slip into the progressive's consciousness, threatening the progressive with the truth: that their ideas and opinions are illogical, hypocritical, dangerous, and asinine.

Agree, when the FARA charge was thrown out of court before trial that took the wind out of the prosecution's sails. The guy is pretty scummy and treated his law partners in an abominable manner but the presence of the attorney client privilege muddied the waters enough to raise reasonable doubt.

FARA is actually a very complicated law wherein even experts on it can disagree what does and does not constitute a violation. Performing actual legal work, which Craig did in reviewing the entire Tymoschenko trial in depth, does not fall under the standard concept of "lobbying the US government."

And indeed, even talking to a reporter about the results of that legal review brings up First Amendment questions.

There is a reason FARA has seldom been prosecuted. It's a deeply flawed law.

What is the reason the experts can't agree? You said it's very complicated, but I also wondered if there's little, to no case law.

I often hear the word "experts", and raise an eyebrow.

There isn't much, if any, case law as it has seldom been successfully prosecuted as a crime and then been reviewed on appeal. It has mostly been handled as an administrative fine for the last several decades.

But since the statute is still on the books, people hire attorneys saying they are experts in the field of required government disclosures to advise them on which statute with which and how they need to comply.

That's what happened in the Flynn case. Covington, Burling law firm was hired to review the Inovo contract and advise them as to which disclosure statutes they needed to file a compliance form. That law firm did not advise that FARA was one of them. Flynn writes (or allows to be published under his name and op-ed about Turkey and WHOOSH! the feds sweep in under FARA.
