The continuing kickbacks to Obama and other certain individuals in his administration are a given. The question is how and from where, they are getting the payments? And when will the NSA give that information up?
There will be a warehouse in Iran somewhere that will be full of Barry and Michelle's book. It will put the warehouse at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark to shame.

The absurdity of the situation has reached the point that you probably need to add the modifier "political" unless you actually meant "bowel" which is the first thing that comes to mind these days when the words "Democrat" and "movement" appear in the same sentence together.

Quote:

British ex-spy Christopher Steele, who wrote the Democrat-financed anti-Trump dossier, said in a court case that he was hired by a Democratic law firm in preparation for Hillary Clinton challenging the results of the 2016 presidential election.

He said the law firm Perkins Coie wanted to be in a position to contest the results based on evidence he unearthed on the Trump campaign conspiring with Moscow on election interference.

His scenario is contained in a sealed Aug. 2 declaration in a defamation law suit brought by three Russian bankers in London. The trio's American attorneys filed his answers Tuesday in a libel lawsuit in Washington against the investigative firm Fusion GPS, which handled the former British intelligence officer.

In an answer to interrogatories, Mr. Steele wrote: "Fusion's immediate client was law firm Perkins Coie. It engaged Fusion to obtain information necessary for Perkins Coie LLP to provide legal advice on the potential impact of Russian involvement on the legal validity of the outcome of the 2016 US Presidential election.

"Based on that advice, parties such as the Democratic National Committee and HFACC Inc. (also known as 'Hillary for America') could consider steps they would be legally entitled to take to challenge the validity of the outcome of that election."

The Democrats never filed a challenge, but Mr. Steele's answer suggested that was one option inside the Clinton camp, which funded Mr. Steele's research along with the Democratic National Committee.

How is Steele not in jail?

Wouldn't his Dossier be considered lying to the FBI?

He was referenced in the FISA warrant for Page and even paid by the FBI for the information.

I just hope people in here aren't betting the house on Sullivan throwing out the Flynn case, like they are on Twitter being egged on by the Q crowd. To steal Dixie's line my spidey senses tell me Judge Sullivan may criticize FBI or Mueller but the case won't be thrown out. I don't see how this judge possibly gives Trump ammunition to delegitimize the Witchhunt completely. Not sure any judge has cajones big enough to do that. He would be setting off a political nuclear bomb in his front yard if he does.

And please don't start with the Stevens case, that has made him famous. I looked into that pretty closely, if you look at the timeline of it, it is a lot more smoke and mirrors than it was judicial heroism. Stevens was convicted right before a crucial election and lost, giving the Dems a 60 seat super majority in the Senate. Damage done mission accomplished. Later, Eric Holder asked Judge to dismiss, only then did he do it, or that's the way the timeline reads to me.

I hope I'm wrong but I just have a feeling I'm not. I bought into the hype at first, and it just seemed too good to be true, because if Sullivan threw out the FLynn case for misconduct, it would be a green light to pull the plug on Mueller and bring that in for a landing. Just seems too perfect to me. SO I started reading up more on Stevens, and it's looking more coordinated than heroic. Just an opinion

A business associate of onetime national security adviser Michael Flynn is being charged with illegally lobbying for the extradition of Fethullah Glen, a U.S.-based Turkish cleric who has been a frequent public target of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoan. Bijan Rafiekian appeared in EDVA today, where he faces charges of working as an unregistered foreign agent and conspiracy.

takes a special kind of brazen ignorance to call the US Attorney for EDVA a part of the "Schutzstaffel." Well done.

Illegally lobbying as an "unregistered foreign agent"

What a great catch-all for charging anyone who works in international business and talks to government officials...which is just about anyone in international business.

the law specifically excludes from registration those businesses that aren't engaged in political activity. So it specifically does not apply to people working in international business that talk to foreign government officials.

Was this indictment a result of a referral from Team Mueller??

don't know if we will ever know if it was a "referral," but seems evident this is the investigation that was mentioned in the documents filed regarding Flynn cooperation on other cases.

According to allegations in the indictment, the scheme included using a Dutch company owned by Alptekin to appear to be the "client" of Company A and to pay the company's fee of $600,000, which was to be paid in three installments. Alptekin made the payments from an account in Turkey. The indictment alleges that after Alptekin made the payments to Company A, it was to kick back 20 percent of the payments to Alptekin's company in the Netherlands, and two such kickbacks were made.

I did not appreciate that distinction. That said "political activity" would seem to be a pretty vague term. My cursory read at black's law left me scratching my head.

its defined:

any activity that the person engaging in believes will, or that the person intends to, in any way influence any agency or official of the Government of the United States or any section of the public within the United States with reference to formulating, adopting, or changing the domestic or foreign policies of the United States or with reference to the political or public interests, policies, or relations of a government of a foreign country or a foreign political party;

WHOA! Napolitano just said the indictment came down last month but was unsealed today as a shot at Flynn. To remind him they can come back and charge him with FARA, the kickbacks, money laundering and the ever creative "conspiracy to defraud the United States" hereafter called "The Mueller Charge."

If Nap isn't off his meds and is actually correct, then the timing suggests this was Mueller instigated.

Napolitano has no credibility. While its certainly possible this was a shot at Flynn, Napolitano is (as usual) throwing spaghetti at the wall.

I would really like to see a FARA case proceed to trial and have SCOTUS rule on its Constitutionality under the First Amendment.

Yes. I read that and thought...so if I work for MexiBeans and want to sell my beans that contain 1% impurities instead of the 0.5% impurities allowed under USDA policy and I discuss it with the current USDA official in New Mexico i just broke the law.

And even if I didn't, what is to stop an aggressive prosecutor with charging me for it?

I agree there is a pretty good 1st amendment challenge here. It could be interesting if someone challenged it but that is a long and dangerous path.
Maybe, maybe not. Stipulate to the facts and then motion in limine challenging the act's Constitutionality.
