So a question...

Does dismissal at this point allow Flynn to seek damages against the cast of village idiots who lied, cheated and stole to drag him through the mud?

Or is it a formality, is a worthless ruling by Sullivan, and Flynn is still not able to try to recover the costs of his sham trial?

I dunno, was it really adjudicated or was the case withdrawn?

Dunno the exact requirements to file suit.

Obvious financial and reputational harm. Does he piggy back off of something in the Page lawsuit?

Fancy that---Cody Shearer

Did we already know that Shearer had two memos associated with the pee dossier? I know we had beaucoup assumptions, but Solomon is now stating it as a fact.
Quote:

Shearer's claim that his information came from a Russian FSB source, experts say, should have alerted senior US officials that the FBI's investigation of the Trump campaign's ties Russia was compromised by its sources, Clinton surrogates and alleged Russian spies.

The documents also indicate the State Department played a much larger role than previously reported in shaping the media narrative, and eventually the official Obama administration intelligence assessment that Vladimir Putin wanted Trump to win in 2016, lawmakers said.

And anyone who has ever read anything I've written knows of my huge dislike of the State Department.

I have said it before and I still believe there should be an enormous unreacted document dump into the public realm before a Biden inauguration. All of it, no matter whether Republican of Democrat involved in all this corruption.
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”

Why is this taking so long? I mean, seriously, it can't be that hard to figure out. Or better yet, just charge both of them with treason and suggest they can settle it through a duel and we will accept the results.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but since SCOTUS is so busy these days, I thought I'd put this here.

Plus, Hawg, BMX, Blindey (whom we haven't seen in a long while), and other legals here, should find it interesting reading.

could instead do like the witch trials where they tie a big weight to the suspected witch and throw her in a deep lake. if she somehow floats, then we know she is a witch and she is burned at the stake. if she doesn't float, then she was innocent.

Quote:

That was the same AG who promised, what seems like decades ago, he would get to the bottom of the reprehensible, treasonous to many, origin of the Trump-Russia investigation, known hereabouts as Spygate.

He assigned John Durham, a reputedly hard-nosed U.S. attorney from Connecticut, to uncover the sources of this outrage and bring the miscreants to justice.

Unfortunately, within that promise soon emerged a hint of trouble to come. Barr informed us that higher officialsmeaning, of course, President Barack Obama and Vice-President Bidenwere not in Durham's brief to investigate, although they had attended a fateful meeting in January 2016 from whence much may have flowed.

Some people were evidently above the law.

As justification for this, Barr made it seem he was trying to put an end to the politicization of the Department of Justice and the FBIand maybe he was to himself.

Meanwhile, Durham's investigation dragged on, taking much longer than expected, putatively because of COVID.

But was that so?

Certainly the pandemic caused some inconvenience, but couldn't grand juries be convened with social distancing and masks? So many other institutions found ways to muddle through.

Some people, we are told, have actually been more productive working from home offices. Surely there was some way of making Zoom secure or other telecommunications as well for Durham's purposes.

Apparently not enough. The delay continued and continues to this day.

And then the Hunter Biden affair broke into the headlines with the discovery of Hunter's laptop and the so far uncontested testimony of Biden family business partner Tony Bobulinski, implicating Joe as the "big guy" in dealings with the communist Chinese.

More news broke shortly thereafter that the FBI had had the laptop in its possession for over a year.

This was followed by a leak a couple of months later, interestingly after Joe Biden had "won" the presidential election, that Hunter and James Biden (Joe's brother) had been under investigation by the IRS and presumably the DOJ for tax evasion and money laundering for some time, much of this involving those same Chinese communists.

William Barr had been mum throughout.

The mainstream media, reliable neo-Stalinists that they are, never reported on any of this when Bobulinski went public. Even now, after the leak, they barely discuss it.

A large portion of the American public had no idea of the Biden Family Scandal when they went to vote on Nov. 3, 2020 or, even more, when they dropped those endless mail-in ballots in whatever boxes.

Polls have appeared indicating a significant number would have voted differently had they known. It was a close election, assuming Biden actually won.

Yet William Barr has remained silent.

His excuse again is that the DOJ should not get involved in politics. Or was he too angry at Donald Trump for meddling in his affairs?

Or perhaps it was a devotion to an institution rather than the American people for whom transparency is needed more than ever.

Whatever the case, that is exactly what he has done, inadvertently or not and despite his denialsget involved in politics.

Bill Barr put his hands on the scale of a presidential election!

By remaining silent on a lengthy investigation of public corruption of the family of a man who would be president, some of which involves that man directly with our principal enemy, William Barr has weighed in heavily on the election, whether he chooses to believe it or not.

He let the electorate continue in ignorance, straight into the voting booth.

Just spitballing here, but he probably fell for the same thing why Congress never solves anything. Went for some big `comprhensive' solution rather than concentrating on nuking just one or two key negative actors or elements. Just as no one would simply enforce the immigration law, but insists on "comprehensive reform" and so nothing gets done, Barr and co. may have been seeking to "catch most of them in illegal activity" rather than knocking out of politics a specific person like Pelosi, or Schumer, or even one of the former Obamians so they couldn't be eligible for new office.

The end result--- nothing achieved because ran out of time and too many stupid rules like also blocked the SCOTUS and led to, in Levin's words just now, "Supreme Court refused to do its job and defend the U.S. Constitution". The details can be debated, but there is no doubt the illegal changes in laws were not punished. Or even called out.

I think something similar happened here. That's why if Assange pardon is true rather than a rumor, have no objections. Get some of this exposed to hang on the incoming admin.

Could he have done more? Maybe but Barr never did have strong allies left at DOJ that were dedicated to the institution and do what was right under the law. Leading by example fell flat in the swamp.

He was miles better than Sessions ever was though.

I've long had the impression that the current DOJ is even far more corrupt and Barr had far more resistance from the rank and file than he expected. Eight years of obama drastically changed the institution he was part of under Bush and there is now a "permanent" resistance in place.

After Bradley Manning, Julian Assange should be an afterthought. His crime is he tried unsuccessfully to aid Manning in breaking a password code.

Get Snowden back too. Put him to work for us. To me, the only two people who can damage the swamp are Snowden and Assange.
