Important point: Did Halper inform the SpyGate Team that he could provide Russian Intel on Flynn, resulting in Strzok & Co. deciding to open a CI investigation on Flynn as well...and thereby implement an insurance policy whereby they could take Flynn out should Trump win the Election? Remember, if Flynn became DNA, he would have soon discovered the Crossfire Hurricane scheme.

Wray is live before the House Judiciary now. Not sure if anything interesting will be brought up, but I thought I would post it here in case anyone else is interested.

Yes, he was REMOVED from the investigation last summer, after it barely had even begun, yet this somehow proves the investigation was partisan?!

Great analysis, OP.

Back on Page 1, over 2 years ago, when Mueller's reputation was still intact and the leftists were convinced that Trump was a Russian asset.

Good Times.

I just ran across the above tweet by Carter Page from about 3 months ago...I don't believe it graced our thread. It's a good question -- there was quite a bit of Ukraine material in Steele's Dossier. Was Ciaramella involved in compiling it?

This is one of the craziest aspects of the Dem talking points in regards to Ukraine. Passing off any and all Ukraine questions as conspiracy theories. Huh? The very report that launched the Mueller investigation, paid for by the Hillary campaign, passed around by counter-Intel, dems, and McCain. This report has references to Ukraine. Maybe there is nothing there, but shouldn't we be getting to the bottom of it? Shouldn't we be asking Ukraine to help us get to the bottom of it?

Oh, it's significant. Gives the DC police good reason to question Schiff4brains and every member of his staff about the break-in. Or the DC police can ask the FBI to investigate and the FBI can question each of them. Can't lie to an FBI agent.

Wondered if Barr would go there. He did. I view it as a rebuke to SDNY.

Quote:

Attorney General William Barr on Wednesday reportedly released a new set of restrictions covering FBI investigations of political candidates.

The memo, obtained by The New York Times, stated that the Department of Justice has the responsibility to make sure that elections are "free from improper activity or influences." Barr's orders come after Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz found that the FBI's investigation into President Trump's former campaign aide, Carter Paige, was ridden with errors and falsified info.

Under the new guidelines, the FBI must get Barr's approval before investigating any 2020 presidential candidates or their senior staff, the Times reports.

Agents must first talk with relevant officials and the Justice Department before opening any probe into "illegal contributions, donations or expenditures by foreign nationals to a presidential or congressional campaign."

According to the newspaper, Barr is the first attorney general to impose such guidelines, though past attorneys general have advised the FBI to use the utmost sensitivity when it comes to political investigations.

Quote:

Barr has also overseen the federal prosecution of Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, business associates of Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, on campaign finance charges. Parnas was central to the now-ended impeachment proceedings, as he repeatedly claimed that he had damning evidence concerning Giuliani and Trump's dealings with Ukraine. Prosecutors in New York are also investigating whether Giuliani broke foreign influence laws while he was in Ukraine on the behalf of the president.

The new Justice Department guidelines will reportedly stay in effect for the 2020 elections and then will be reviewed to see it they should remain in place.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/feb/5/three-russian-oligarchs-target-steele-dossier-say-/

Three Russian oligarchs smeared in Steele's dossier had their suit for defamation against Steele previously dismissed. Now they are appealing & using Horowitz's report to demonstrate that the content of the dossier was based upon gossip & unsubstantiated reports, facts Steele should have known. Similar to claims made by others (Page & another Russian oligarch) in pending suits against Steele, Fusions GPS, BuzzFeed, etc., as well as being part of Flynn's strategy. Good read.

https://justthenews.com/key-witness-told-team-mueller-russia-collusion-evidence-found.html

Quote:

One of Robert Mueller's pivotal trial witnesses told the special prosecutor's team in spring 2018 that a key piece of Russia collusion evidence found in Ukraine known as the "black ledger" was fabricated, according to interviews and testimony.

The ledger document, which suddenly appeared in Kiev during the 2016 U.S. election, showed alleged cash payments from Russian-backed politicians in Ukraine to ex-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

"The ledger was completely made up," cooperating witness and Manafort business partner Rick Gates told prosecutors and FBI agents, according to a written summary of an April 2018 special counsel's interview.

In a brief interview with Just the News, Gates confirmed the information in the summary. "The black ledger was a fabrication," Gates said. "It was never real, and this fact has since been proven true."

Gates' account is backed by several Ukrainian officials who stated in interviews dating to 2018 that the ledger was of suspicious origins and could not be corroborated.

If true, Gates' account means the two key pieces of documentary evidence used by the media and FBI to drive the now-debunked Russia collusion narrative -- the Steele dossier and the black ledger -- were at best uncorroborated and at worst disinformation. His account also raises the possibility that someone fabricated the document in Ukraine in an effort to restart investigative efforts on Manafort's consulting work or to meddle in the U.S. presidential election....

More details in the article.

So, you don't suppose that the origin of the fake 'black ledger' might have involved the CIA/Eric Ciaramella?

He did meet with Alexandra Chalupa and was with Biden in Ukraine a time or two.

Which leads to the next question: was Biden involved with the black ledger too?

One final note: I don't recall the Mueller Report containing a specific refutation of the black ledger.

My guess is Ciaramella's real concern in that phone call was his own ass being on the line if Ukraine investigates their previous administration's interference in our 2016 election.

Could be.But I think Biden is who he was trying to protect. Which is why I wondered if Biden had a hand in obtaining the black ledger.

Barr has said on a couple of occasions that they want to make sure they get everything right if they are going to make things stick.

I think it was his interview with McCallum when he said, (paraphrasing) "A lot of people want scalps now, but these things take time to make sure we get it right."

Something tells me that Barr and Durham have been keeping their powder dry for very good reasons.

Unfortunately, the timing will end up looking political, but I think Barr and Durham are more concerned with legal efficacy.

Edit: This was basically in response to the newest John Solomon/Giuliani/Fox News accusations. They [MSM/Dems] are trying real hard to get out in front of something significant.

Make no mistake, the timing will absolutely be political, and I've got zero problems with that, time to fight back, fire with fire. That doesn't mean the allegations, when they do eventually come out, aren't valid.

If you have facts on your side, it doesn't matter if there is a political side to it. If they are guilty, Republican or Democrat, they need to go to jail if they committed a crime.

33 minute interview with Carter Page. Starts at 11:15 of the podcast. Few snippets: In early April 2017, Page began sending emails to Clinesmith (the lawyers who later altered the report from the CIA relating that Page was an asset), sending him info about the death threats he was receiving, & during this same time, Page's lawyer was in contact with Clinesmith also about the death threats. What happened? Shortly thereafter, there was another leak to the media concerning Page & the FISA, which was followed again by more death threats. Page thinks that Wray has been covering up for the Swamp & continues to do so even today -- Page mentioned that Wray's 'former' law firm now employs Sally Yates. (She's actually a partner at King & Spalding...while Wray still was continuing to receive millions in partnership income from King & Spalding in 2018. But guess who else is now at King & Spalding? Answer: Rod Rosenstein!) Interestingly, Page has not been contacted by Durham.
