The Last Refuge guy (Brad?) is really low on Barr, in particular. I'm not very high on him either after he allowed Liu to recommend up to 6 months on Flynn, as icing on the cake, or the disaster that is the FBI under Wray.

I don't think there are any plausible excuses for at least incremental declassifications/making public a lot of the dirt happening by now, though. Somewhat, I think Trump is trying to get through the impeachment circus before starting up a new s%%t storm firing people etc, but that sort of feels like grasping at straws since the circus is so pathetic, itself.

For those interested here is a fresh recap of the declassification inaction;

Quote:

...the only person who can honestly answer that question is the person in the mirror when President Trump brushes his teeth. Perhaps forgotten

In the spring of 2018 a group of congressional reps led by Devin Nunes, Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, Louie Gohmert, Lee Zeldin and Bob Goodlatte, asked President Trump to declassify a series of documents so the public could see how former officials in the DOJ & FBI abused their offices and conducted political surveillance.

In September of 2018, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein asked President Trump not to declassify those same documents until after the Mueller probe was complete. Rosenstein informed the President (confirmed in later POTUS interviews) that declassifying the material could be interpreted as impeding the Mueller investigation.

Two months later, in November 2018, the mid-term election took place. Republicans lost the House and their committee chairs. Many people suspected (I concur) the mid-term election was the real motive for the Sept. 2018 request from Rosenstein. Four months after the mid-term, March 2019, the Mueller investigation of President Trump ended.

Two months after the Mueller probe ended U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr, a profoundly supportive voice for DAG Rosenstein, asked President Trump to grant him unilateral declassification authority to assist the purposes and intents of his DOJ effort. President Trump granted U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr with the authority to declassify on May 23rd, 2019; granting access to the same documents requested by congress a year earlier.

Even though Atkisson's testimony isn't classified, do any of you guys know if Durham can demand, or have access to it?

It was the first thing I thought of while reading the articles. I wonder how long these dumb-dumbs took to plan this?

Anyone who took the time to change the Whistleblower form like Atkisson did was a dead ringer for an Obama black hat. Honestly, I'd LOVE to know who hired everyone in these departments. In order for humans to put their careers on the line, and then cross the legal boundary, is an astounding obsession.

Actually, it's exactly what true activists do in communists/socialists/totalitarian governments.

That is a big IF.

This site has some good info on competitive races in 2020. I pulled a quick count of "targeted" house seats by each party. I chose to only count those seats with projected margins of less than 4%. Keep in mind that the current spread is 232 D's to 199 R's...

The Republicans are targeting 16 D seats, with projected margin of less than 4%...the "low hanging fruit". Out of 55.

The Dems are targeting 14 R seats, with projected margin of less than 4%...again, low hanging fruit. Out of 37.

What that says to me is it will a steep climb for the Republican. The close projections are a wash between D's and R's...+2. But they are down 33 currently so that's not much impact. Remember, the Dems have refined the counting of provisional ballots (absentee and mail-in) so that makes close races harder to project.

Obviously if the people answering the polls are providing misleading info, or the poll designers are "massaging" the numbers, all bets are off.

All that said, Impeachment is too soft for him, nothing less than Draw & Quarter, Wallace Style.

Interesting. Bruce Ohr 'conspiring' with Weissmann, Ahmad & Swartz concerning Deripaska, possibly trying to get him to cooperate against Manafort (& Trump?).

If you read the article, there was a pivotal meeting on December 7, 2016. In the same time frame, Ohr was meeting/talking with Glenn Simpson (Dec 9 & 12); Simpson & his wife were were major adversaries of Manafort & figure in the background:

Assange back in court today.

https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/wikileaks-assange-uk-court-fighting-extradition-usa-68244629

Quote:

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange made a brief court appearance Monday in his bid to prevent extradition to the United States to face serious espionage charges.

He and his lawyers complained they weren't being given enough time to meet to plan their battle against U.S. prosecutors seeking to put him on trial for WikiLeaks' publication of hundreds of thousands of confidential documents.

...

A five-day extradition hearing is scheduled for late February. Assange's legal team has tried to delay the hearing so there is more time to prepare, but these requests have been denied.

Assange has already served a 50-week prison sentence in Britain for jumping bail. A rape investigation launched against him in Sweden has been dropped, so he would likely be freed from prison if extradition is denied.

There may be a better, more rational reason, but until I hear it, I'm going with mine.

Atkinson will be allowed to perform his job, even though it would be thoroughly discredited in the real world, because he can. Republicans aren't as likely to raise hell, and the ones that will pursue the chain of command won't be answered for a month, or more. I have no idea of the timing on the last comment, but if the past is the future, it will happen.

The Dems literally don't care, and further, would actually support Atkinson's actions. The Dem activists, meaning the PR portion of the party, is the same as sentence number one, therefore, the premier media outlets won't run it. If bad ethics and illegal actions happen in the forest, and there's no one to hear, or see it, did it really happen?

Look at Roberts nominating Boasberg, who picked Kris for the FISA court. Roberts is Carter level naive, and we now know why he voted for Obamacare.

Conservatives are generally too conscientious to let themselves consider unscrupulous behavior. They tend to stick to the traditional interpretation of rules and ethical standards. Progressives don't have that inhibition.

Corrupt Obama DOJ Attorney John Carlin Did Not Tell FISA Court that Carter Page Had Previously Worked with FBI When Applying for Fraudulent Page FISA Warrant

Quote:

Obama's Head of the DOJ's National Security Division, John Carlin, is in some real trouble. Not only did he lie to the FISA Court about FISA abuse but we determined that he must have been behind lying about Carter Page's past enabling the Deep State to obtain the fraudulent Page FISA warrant on Page.

...

John Carlin's team at Obama's DOJ would have been responsible for querying whether Carter Page had worked for the FBI in the past when efforts were being made to create the FISA warrant on Carter Page. This would have been standard procedure to see if Page had worked with the FBI in the past.

The Carter Page FISA warrant was used to legitimize the spying on candidate, President-elect and President Trump. Carlin and his team did not provide the information that Page worked for the FBI to the FISA Court. This was another material lie and it can be attributed to Obama's dirty cop John Carlin and his team at the DOJ!

We now also know that Page worked for another agency in the US government and this too was withheld from the FISA Court. Both these material facts would have likely prevented the Carter Page FISA warrant from being obtained.

Obama's Dirty Cop John Carlin lied to the FISA Court numerous times. We just caught him in another lie.

And who was Carlin's legal counsel? Michael Attkinson. The entire top level of the DOJ and IC are corrupt. If Barr and Durham are who we think they are and are actually pursuing all of this, many of these weasels will start singing for a deal. I think this is all going to be timed out perfectly for the election.

The total arrogance of these people is astounding. She admits to actively seeking to undermine policy because she knows there will be no consequences.

I am swinging back to the belief not one of these criminals will be held accountable. For awhile I felt Barr and Durham would hold these criminals accountable, unfortunately I seriously doubt it at this point.

We will have to live with the fact there are several layers of justice and the general population is at the bottom.

I disagree. I think plenty of folks will be indicted, convicted is another issue.

I might have to be joyful in the fact so many of these folks had to spend anywhere from $50K to $1 million on attorneys fees.

However, time will tell. It just won't be as fun since we won't be able to read, or see the report.

I wonder if she was a gung ho activist, and would have engaged whomever was in office or just a government employee who never realized others lived outside of DC? I guess we'll know if she gave up the name(s) of who told her to steal, and deliver the information. Also, five years isn't enough, and that's the max she can get.

Why does sentencing take long? That's five months.

This is serious...very serious.

And the penalty of 5 yrs is just WAY too light...drag her through the streets...of DC, Chicago, New York and LA. And then 5 years per offense...

FINCEN is the accountability for any financial activity offshore, which opens individuals to all kinds of scrutiny...totally unnecessary scrutiny. And the penalty for NOT filing the FBAR is HUGE, like give up a big chunk of whatever it is in most instances.
