So now even MGM rep is questioning the official timeline:

Quote:

An MGM spokeswoman expressed doubts about the timeline offered by Lombardo.

"As evidenced by law enforcement briefings over the past week, many facts are still unverified and continue to change as events are under review," Debra DeShong, the spokeswoman, said in a statement Tuesday night. "We cannot be certain about the most recent timeline that has been communicated" publicly, she said, "and we believe what is currently being expressed may not be accurate."

DeShong said "it is not appropriate for us to comment further at this time on what remains an open matter for law enforcement."

Las Vegas police did not respond to a list of questions regarding the timeline and declined to make Lombardo available for an interview.

It makes sense that no one else was hurt and that he was only hit once if you really think about it. The .223 round is not great at penetrating walls. It has a tendency to fragment and slow when going through drywall. The construction of the corridor walls probably calls for a double layer of gyp for fire rating (fairly typical for corridors), meaning they're probably an inch thick on the outside, plus another sheet on the inside. After going through a solid door, a .223 round is probably not penetrating that.

As for the guard the first rounds fired would not have been on the money. The shooter was making a best guess, and after going through the door, the first rounds wild not have continued perfectly straight. He'd have at least some warning and opportunity to take cover. After the first 5 seconds or so, he could be behind cover and safe from the majority of rounds fired.

I doubt the guard is in on it. That requires just the right door ajar on the right floor, with the right guard responding to the call.

Perhaps Jesus just wants to be left alone.

Perhaps he is not here legally and was using a stolen SSN.

Lots of what ifs.

This. There does not seem to be a whole lot of holes in the doors to the room. Seems 200 from a bump fire would have turned the doors into swiss cheese.

All those rounds and the guard gets hit once in the leg? Just smells like some bad fish.....

Getting more tin foil hattery everyday. You would think Mandalay Bay would have released videos of entering and exiting the casino; playing video poker etc by now.

Las Vegas shooter believed to have used hotel's freight elevator before attack

Law enforcement sources told CBS News that Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock is believed to have used the freight elevator at the Mandalay Bay hotel casino in the days leading up to last week's deadly attack.

It wasn't clear what Paddock used the freight elevator for or how often he used it.

No other details provided in the article.
If he was using the freight elevator, wouldn't that normally require an access 'key' or assistance from an employee?

Interesting. This is new.

At most you can see 20 rounds through the one door and NONE through the other.

There is a picture of the full outside of the double doors, and there is a lot of fragmentation stuff either from the breach or from the shooting but you don't see any more holes.

I'd be willing to bet that MGM likely knows exactly when the shooting started - down to the second.
It may even be on video.

Does the fbi not have agents stay at a place of interest like this? This is the biggest mass shooting in our history and we don't guard the guy's homes during an investigation?

Welp Im officially a full blown conspiracy theorist on this now. Just without a theory. Incompetence will be the defence for the house break in but I don't buy it.

Who needs a key when the front door is left unlocked and unguarded.

Who knows if they did but I wouldn't put it past them at this point.
