Stayed in the IP for a bachelor party 15+ years ago. Price was right for some of the poors with us, and the mid-Strip location is/was solid. Wasn't bad for a place to get a few minutes of shut-eye. Caught a fight that weekend, where i saw Mike Tyson (brushed past him in MGM - he was attending,
not fighting), Alyssa Milano, and some random chick's tits when here dress fell down at the fight. Saw plenty of tits that weekend, but the unexpected factor with that pair was cool.

Of course the new stadium will have something to do with it. How could it not? Mandalay will be the closest major property in proximity to it. And no, there will be no need for them to have a name change or anything else. Mandalay Bay will be fine.

As for putting it third tier out of 4? I couldn't agree with that. 2nd tier maybe, but third tier implies below average, and that's just not accurate. Mandalay is very nice. It's not as nice as some of the really high dollar first tier properties, but it's significantly better than average. Of course anecdotally someone may disagree if they had a cold shower there I guess...

Here's the proposed stadium. The land has been bought and paid for and unless something really strange happens it's a done deal. That building to the right of it across the highway? That's Mandalay Bay.

So no 1700 hour updates?

That article makes no sense. He didnt pay any attention to it till he looked out the window monday morning and realized the guy above him was the gunman? The 1000+ rounds of ammo, the breach charge by SWAT, were quiter than the music he was playing on Sat night?

This is what makes no sense, they will interview anyone about something diring times like this but they are not interviewing anyone that has any substance on this guy.

They could'be been in the casino, at a show, dinner, etc.

I ran across a picture of the collected firearms from the room, and it made me very curious.

Why would he bring some of the ones that he did? I saw a break over single shot rifle (looked like a .22), a couple of shotguns, and what looked like other smaller caliber single shot rifles. Why would he bring these for what he had planned??

I am seriously considering a theory supporting that he was forced somehow IOT cause an anti-gun flare-up

Any computer would show he's an invited guest (Paddock) and they wouldn't stop by to jack with him over this. They are going to take him at his word for the complaint, investigate it and that's it. Now I am curious about the status of the noise violator and the response. If they were a good player, they probably sent someone up with a bottle of their favorite drink. Sorry to bother you, but we got a noise complaint. Keep it down and here's a bottle of your favorite for the trouble.

When I was younger, we were a lot rowdier and the casinos never gave us any problems. I was heading back up to the room at night, but didn't have my key to show. The security guard called the room to confirm I was I supposed to be there, but nobody picked up. I gave him my DL and asked him to call down the front desk. I heard the lady on the phone and what she told him. He apologized for the inconvenience and let me proceed to the elevator.

They want you in a good mood, preferably making bad decisions and dropping money -- as long as you aren't fighting, tearing **** up, etc.

I don't mean that they would stop by to jack with him. More to stop by and ass-kiss a high roller that had multiple complaints. Maybe not that night but maybe the next day. I acknowledge the likelihood is small, but again, when you have a friggin arsenal in your room and plans to shoot up Vegas, seems like a potential for unwanted attention.

Most of the videos people are claiming to show second shooters or sounds are easily debunked. One video did make it sound like *possibly* a different shooter and not an echo.

However, for the Feds to order a *cease* on investigating sounds ridiculous.

You know, its comments like that that make me wonder just how insulated the real investigators have to get. When you see things like 'cease' it is obviously a word that is either completely made up by or at least used out of context by the media. Like you said it is totally ridiculous.

My guess is the Feds and Locals are working pretty hard, together.
