This is true.

Vegas works a little bit different than any other town I have lived in, especially in Texas. We don't have any private businesses in Texas that wield anywhere near the comparable power the casinos have in Nevada. They will be able to provide the Feds with the best surveillance in the world for something like this, but they will to a certain extent do it on their own terms. And the PD will support that.

Not saying its going to be an internal fight or something, But I have no doubt the leaks, with the exception of the hotel room leaks, will be held to a minimum.

And it certainly doesn't help that he was not active on social media.

It actually does look like a pink sheet of paper with a green roll of tape (?) sitting on top, maybe as a paperweight. That "pen" looks weird though.

the other thing is not a pen though - but I have no idea what it is. Much too thick to be any writing instrument.

Maybe he was an activist. But by now I think there would have been some evidence that was more definitive than some 4chan post that is pure speculation based on a video that frankly doesn't look that much like him.

We will see. I honestly think some of this is based on the fact that he shot up a C&W event, which if he was political would indicate he was a lefty. I understand that. Then again, he could just be a wacko.

Oh, I see it now. Under that green object. Definitely small square sheet-maybe 4 x 5. If it has writing, its very little. So there would be room for a slogan, or a group name -- but it doesn't look "cluttered" as if with alot of writing. Will have to look closer.

If he was sitting while writing, once he finished the note he would have had to straighten his legs and put the tripod on top of them before killing himself.
When anyone writes while sitting usually they are seated "Indian style," if he was seated like that or anywhere near that position his legs wouldn't straighten out.

Looks to me like a hybrid highlighting pen.

No. the image of his dead torso and head is definitely form a completely different angle. From the direction as if taken from the feet looking up his body, not down like in this picture.


EDIT - Nevermind - that was a different photo I saw and here you can actually se the angle where the tile turns/ends before the body.
