Only a few, loud ones.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

That hits close to home. I lived in Edmond when the incident, that coined the term "Going Postal", happened.

I was obviously small, but my school was a couple blocks away and the memorial was something I saw every day.

I play Poker a ton, absolutely love the game; but I know what Tilt can do to a person. It can really drive you nuts, and I'm playing $2/$4, this guy is playing $10,000 a day. I've felt like punching my fist through the computer screen or a fellow player multiple times. Maybe this dude just snapped and felt like taking his rage out?
Is there a chance this is all this was? Dude got caught up in it one night and lost everything. Millions gone on one hand or something. That might cause anyone to snap.

Also I can see going crazy if you lived full time in one of those casinos. No daylight, that oxygen getting pumped in, no idea what time it is, the bright lights. Even a couple days in one makes you start to lose it

This guy didn't just snap and decide to shoot up a concert. This was planned out. Look at the placement of the broomstick on the one rifle. He had been to the range and set those weapons up well before hand. Anybody in the military or owns a AR platform knows you just don't take them out of the box and start shooting. One of the rifles has an EO tech optic on it, the other a scope, once again very well thought out and planned. If I were to just snap, I'd go buy a gun some mags and ammo and just start shooting.
If the goal is to shoot into a large crowd, there is no need to sight in the rifle, straight out of the box is more than accurate enough to get the job done.

It doesn't mean that he wasn't a gun nut and had lots of nice toys attached to his ARs, but it doesn't mean that each one was brought in for a specific task.

A AR platform out of the box with the rear sight aperture, definitely needs to be BZO'ed or you wouldn't hit water if you fell out of a boat.

Funny thing is, the postal service has a very low workplace violence incidence when you look at incidents per number of employees.

From Pol

"The LVMPD knows the motive behind the attack, but the FBI will not allow us to release the motive because it implicates the FBI in illegal arms deals and supplying arms to ISIS terrorists within U.S. borders.

Stephen Paddock was an undercover FBI agent who participated in multiple illegal arms deals in the Las Vegas area in a gun running entrapment scheme similar to Fast and Furious. Paddock thought he was engaging in another routine arms transfer, but ISIS had learned about the entrapment scheme and Paddock's true identity. They killed him and carried out the massacre, and then fled the scene.

Everything is being kept under extreme wraps because 1) armed ISIS terrorists are still at large and 2) this is very embarrassing to the FBI and they don't want their scheme to become public knowledge.

I will be posting further information throughout the day, people within LVMP are disgusted and are pushing for this information to be released to the public."

FWIW. Not out of the realm of possibility.
So it looks like others are also on the arms dealer theory, except that there are still questions remaining.

1. Who shot at the security officer through the door?
2. How did they escape?
3. Why were they selling modified AR-15s instead of standard AK-47s that the terrorist use that we can get easily?

If this is true, it would make sense why the FBI would want to keep the information under wraps. This is the kind of thing that can cause massive instability. Of course given the incompetence of the intelligence agencies recently, I'm not surprise it went south.

I agree, if he wasn't using tracers at that distance IN THE DARK to spot the fall of the rounds, he would have to have sighted in and practiced with the setups to be confident he was getting on target or close. We are talking feet of drop at the distances he was shooting, which would be darn hard to correct for in the dark...

Any ranges in the area with long distance options? Like 500 or 1000 yards? He might have gone there before.

You wouldn't care when your target is several acres...

Don't need a range that large to BZO an AR, 36 yards or 300 yards is all that is needed. He definitely put time in at a range somewhere to figure out the MOA.

Hell, a boresight would be good enough. But as stated early, it really doesn't matter if your target is acres. The guy could not tell what he was aiming for anyways.

Very few ranges simulate a 300 ft drop.

I may be wrong, but I don't think standard police procedure is to close the investigation right away when the suspect shot himself. Ongoing investigation doesn't mean he was or wasn't a lone wolf. It just means the investigation is still going on two days after the crime. Seems normal to me.

I'm more talking about the ballistic drop of his ammunition from his point of zero on his optics. It would be feet off, which at a flat angle can put you pretty far off target. I guess since he was just grazing an area, it didn't matter much.

To me it looks like sleeve of a jacket over his hand and goes underneath his back... seems odd to have a jacket halfway off when he kills himself... position of it seems weird, but it is what it is....
