No, they could not. You don't just walk up to a high rise window and swap it out. They are (usually) done from the OUTSIDE in the day time, not the inside during night. Someone would have noticed.

Why would they knock out the 32nd floor windows later (as if that would be remotely possible or feasible after a shooting like this without getting caught) and patch up the ones where the shooting came from? I don't have any theory. I am just replying to different aspects with my own what ifs.

If multiple shooters why would they go lower on the building? That would have caused problems with the line of site with the stage in the way.
