Apparently Ditka is the one who is insecure if he can't handle listening to certain musicians b/c he doesn't like their political ideas. I promise Green Day, or DMB, or Mellencamp won't brain wash you into some Bush-bashing, pot-smoking, liberal hippie - or atleast it hasn't done so to me.

I love it. He acts like an ass and somehow it's everyone else's fault. And most times you do a lot more than simply saying you don't like them and even that would be unnecessary.

He doesn't like DMB because they suck, not because of political messages. If I had to take a guess, that is.

Megadeath and Pantera suck donkey nuts, but he still likes those bands.

not to divert attention from ditka and his metal musings, but "American Idiot" wasn't the best album to come out last year. it's a really solid album though, and definitely green day's best.

i'm not a big fan of the new video though.

I like greenday a lot. You gotta have respect for a band that has been around as long as they have and continue to put out some quality music.

Anyway.....back to the video.

I'm staying at another Army post this month. I woke up at 500 AM and was watching VH1 while stretching out this morning. I was wondering what he DID that made this chick freak out. When he said it was for both of them, I figured I knew what it was.

First wrong move...don't ever make a military career move without 'household 6' approval.

Then I noticed it was sort of a non-political video...sort of. It made me think of all my buds and the precious time we have with our gals when we are home. So, for a band I don't really care for, I gotta give them credit.

Same with that song Love Me When I'm Gone....first time I saw that video was 2 months into OIF while I was in the desert. There was silence in the crowd.
