My fav. is Chopin. I am down with his pure piano stuff. Greatest I might say is Beethoven, simply for what he accomplished deaf.

My favorite is also Chopin, although Rachmaninov comes in a close second. My dad used to play the Chopin ballades (#3 and #4) and some of Rach's preludes.

My vote for greatest composer of all time goes to J.S. Bach.

My favorite piece is Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini (this year anyway) but my choice for greatest composer has to be Beethoven, with Hayden and Mozart a little behind.

Bach is in a separate class simply because (with help from listening to Vivaldi) he got there first with the most.

I think that Beethoven and Mozart are hard to beat as being the all-time masters of classical music.

My personal favorites are Debussy and Chopin.

Eric Satie's Gymnopedies deserve an honorable mention though I know he's not at the top of the list.
