Ironically, I think the reason I bought it was the fact that you mentioned it on a similar thread a few months back. The name just kind of stood out. I was ordering some books online later, and needed a filler to hit $25 and get free shipping, so I added Lamb to the cart. Since then I got Fluke and Island of the Sequined Love Nun, but they're not quite as hillarious as Lamb.

Now that the special effects have caught up, it may be time for a Xanth movie (Piers Anthony). The first three books are "normal" enough that they might find some mass appeal.

I try to find a really odd "christmasy" book to read around the yuletime. Three years ago, it was Santa Steps Out by Devereaux, absolutely the most perverted twist on Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy (ever wonder where the shiny coins she leaves come from?), etc. EVER written or even thought about. Two years ago, it was Lamb and last year, it was The Stupidist Angel, another painfully funny effort from Moore (but not as good as Lamb).
