HA! Jenna Dore lives in my town.

Season premier is in 16 days (September 23rd).

I am assuming some/most of us are down for another season of the Survivor Pick'em game. I'll need to change some categories since we don't have any returning players.

I'm super open to suggestions of new point categories.

This Google Doc has the rules that would carry over from 50 to 51. Again, happy to take suggestions to make it better.

What are some extra fun items that are a positive every time shown. I think providing food for the tribe in a way that isn't reward or rice based (fishing, finding some sort of fruit)

Also I think we should all vote for a first boot and get a few bonus points for that

I have no problem with first boot, but it requires everyone knowing who they want to pick before the season started. It was OK last year with the all-stars since they were all known commodities.

Will they release the tribes before or was that something they did just for 50 to hype it up? If we have the tribes and with that intro video, I feel like first boot can be more educated. Otherwise it's just random.

Is it sad that I can't tell you off the top of my head who won Survivor 50?

You find an advantage or idol during a reward or immunity challenge: +1 point bonus.
In a multi-stage challenge, if your team is in first going into the final stage, and you end up losing the challenge by coming in last, -1 point per person involved. It has the be a challenge where you can't swap someone out at the end and a continuous run. This one is probably better with three tribes, since with two teams and if they both are close going into the last stage, it seems overly punitive. Might be better to make this one only if there are three teams competing.
If you play an advantage (not an idol, obviously or shot in the dark) at tribal and still go home: -2 points.
If you are voted out at tribal by drawing rocks, an additional -1 point penalty (primarily because if you change your vote you could avoid going to drawing rocks in the first place).

I'm a sicko here for the chaos.

I like the +1 for finding the advantage/idol during the challenge. Will add that.
I imagine this season will go to 3 tribes at some point, so maybe can activate that one anytime there are teams of 3 or more.
Will add the playing the advantage and still go home, I'm surprised it wasn't on there. Oversight by me.
Maybe going home by rocks should be a bigger impact, because that really is the dumbest way to go out and it's hard to imagine it happening again. Maybe -7?

HOW TO PLAY

Pick 5 contestants you think will go the furthest/get the most points in the game.

Pick 1 other contestant you think will be VOTED OFF first. This does not mean medically evacuated or any other weird circumstance, only voted off in a Tribal Council format.

Post your picks to this forum or DM them to me by 7 PM on Wednesday, September 23rd (date of the Season 1 Premiere). No exceptions, not even 1 minute late.

Winner gets a $50 prize from me. If anyone else wants to kick in some prize money, please feel free! A Cameo video from a Survivor legend will also be included.

SURVIVOR 51 BIOS



HOW IT WORKS
You get points based on what they accomplish / don't accomplish through the tribe and then individual parts of the game. Points are tabulated each week and the standings updated. I made up a **** ton of categories to try to make it as fun, silly, and engaging as possible.

The people you pick at the beginning that make the merge get a 0.5-point bonus on their achievements during the individual part of the game. So if it's 5 points for winning an Individual Immunity Challenge, you'd get 5.5.

If you have people voted out before the merge, you can redraft from the remaining players after the merge. But they don't get the 0.5-point bonus.

POINTS BREAKDOWN


PRE-MERGE CHALLENGES
Your team finishes the challenge 1st (reward or immunity): +2 points
Your team finished the challenge 2nd (reward or immunity) : +1 point
Your team finishes the challenge 3rd (reward or immunity): - 1 point
Your tribe enters the final stage of the challenge in 1st, then finishes last, extra -1 point

NOTE: If the tribes go from 3 to 2, the rule switches to 2 points for the winners and -1 point for the losers.

YOU'RE OUT OF THE GAME
You get medically evacuated: -3 points
You quit the game for any reason beyond your health or a family medical emergency: -10 points

FINDING IDOLS
You find a hidden immunity idol: +3 points
You find any other sort of advantage: +2 points
BONUS +1 if you find an idol / advantage during a challenge (not the reward after), only from the moment you "Come on in Guys" until you leave the area.
Some dummy gives you their advantage or idol anytime before Tribal Council: +2 points
You give away your advantage or idol to someone else anytime before Tribal Council: -2 points
You find an advantage note or HII clue, but you're too dumb to retrieve it by yourself / at all: - 2 points
You make a fake immunity idol and some idiot falls for it: 3 points
You're the idiot that finds the fake immunity idol and thinks that it's real: -3 points

INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY CHALLENGES
You win: +5 points
You're the first one out: -2 points
You sit out because you think you're safe or you want to eat: - 2 points

INDIVIDUAL REWARD / MISC CHALLENGES
You win: +3 points
You're the first one out: -1 point
You get picked to go along with the winner on the reward: +1 point
You go on the Journey and win: +2
You go on the Journey and lose: -2

AT TRIBAL COUNCIL - THE GOOD
You play the Shot in the Dark and save your ass: +3 points
You play your HII at Tribal Council and it saves you from getting voted off: +5 points
You play your HII at Tribal Council and it saves someone else, or you give it someone else and they save themselves: +3 points
You survive Tribal Council: +0.5 points pre-merge, +1 point post-merge.
You play your advantage at Tribal Council and it alters who goes home: +3 points


AT TRIBAL COUNCIL - THE BAD
You play your HII at Tribal Council and it doesn't save anyone: -3 points
You play your advantage at Tribal Council and it doesn't alter who goes home: -3 points
You play or give your idol to someone else at Tribal Council and then you get voted off that night aka The Ice Cream Scooper: -10 points
You go home with an advantage in your pocket: -3 points
You play your advantage (other than the Shot in the Dark) and you still go home: -2 points
You play your Shot in the Dark when you didn't have to: -2 points
You go home with a HII in your pocket: -5 points
You get voted off at Tribal Council before the merge: - 5 points
You get voted off at Tribal Council after the merge: -3 points
You get voted out because Tribal Council goes to drawing rocks. -4 points
You spell the name of the person you're voting for wrong: - 1 point (EVERY TIME)

FINAL TRIBAL
You are the Sole Survivor: +10 points
You finish second: +5 points
You finish third: +4 points
You finish fourth: +2 points
You put yourself in the fire-making challenge and lose:- 5
You put yourself in the fire-making challenge and win +5
You get zero votes at Final Tribal: -5 points


EXTRA FUN
You are shown on TV smashing your crotch into an obstacle while blindfolded: -3 points (EVERY TIME SHOWN)
You are shown on TV smashing any other part of your body into an obstacle while blindfolded: -1 point (EVERY TIME SHOWN)
You suffer an injury outside of a challenge that doesn't eliminate you from the game (falling out of a tree, stepping on a machete etc.) - 1 point
You start crying back at camp or after the challenge (tears must be shed on TV) because you didn't get invited on the reward: -2 points (every challenge this happens)
You lose any piece of your team's vital equipment for more than 10 minutes of the show including commercials (fishing gear, flint, machete): -2 points
You get caught stealing anything from another player: -2 points
You have a breakdown about how unfair life is based on your race, gender, sexual orientation, anything political, or COVID-19: -3 points (EVERY TIME SHOWN)
You decide to play "Real Life Police" and call someone out for something you don't like about their life outside the game: -5 points (EVERY TIME SHOWN)
You try to make up or use some dumb-ass nickname for Jeff Probst other than "Jeff" or "Mr. Jeff": -2 points (EVERY TIME SHOWN)
You eat/drink too much on a reward and get sick - either the top or the bottom kind: -2 points
Part of the episode plot is that you are constipated or you've pooped yourself: -2 points
Part of the episode plot is that you smell so badly that the other players complain: -2 points

Not knowing who will be on the two tribes makes this a lot harder. I suspect with 21 players someone will be sent on a journey and the two tribes will do a challenge. Loser votes out and then the returnee joins the losing tribe
