YOUR TEXAGS CHAMPION: AGSQUIRREL97

A much longer post is forthcoming, but give it up for Agquirrel97, our Survivor 50 contest winner.

He finished with 163 points, barely edging Eso Si, who finished second with 161 points.

AgSquirrel, think it over and let me know if you want the original prize of $50 Venmoed to you or if you'd like me to buy you a Cameo message from a Survivor player.
The full list of who is available from the show on Cameo is here:
https://www.cameo.com/browse/reality-tv/reality-tv-cbs/survivor
I'm willing to pay Dee's $145, but otherwise let's try to keep is around $100.

I mean "we don't do this sht anymore because we are incompetent" is certainly an argument.

You don't need to drag 24+ people to LA, put them up in a hotel, etc.

Was Colby, Q, etc even in this finale? Nope.

I'd not be shooting live either if that's how it's gonna run.

Don't do cameo for me. If you do it, it's got to be for the whole group. But when I tried to do a Dee cameo to roast y'all it came in about $200 after fees.

If you don't get a cameo for the group then I ask you Venmo the payment or some supplies to Hope Village in friendswood, Tx. They are great people who provided housing and care for intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals. Everyone can send a few supplies through their Amazon Shopping cart and help some great people.

The last of these things until September.

Top Scorer of the Week: Myself, blackgoldag11, TriumphForks and Saxsoon each picked up 27.5 by having OG picks Jonathan and Aubry without anyone else's baggage weighing them.

Back from the Dead to Kill You Some More: The spelling gaffes by Emily and Cirie at Tribal Council cost several people points, and sent 7yrplan, tx1c and DoItBest into negative points for the final episode.

The Bizarro Superman Award Goes To: Rhutton125, who picked Aubry to be the first one out this season.

The Hope Springs Eternal Award: COUNTERPOINT: Rallied out of the basement in the last episode to pass 2 other players.

You're a very generous champion. I donated $50 to their 2026 Home Day Fund.

I appreciate the compliment. Those of you who know me from the Astro thread know that the last 12 months have been a pretty lousy transition for me, and leaning on TexAgs communities like this thread have made a lot of days a lot more manageable and made Wednesday nights a guaranteed 2-4 hour stretch of no stress. I have a zillion other things to say about the episode, a lot of them wondering why Jonathan's brother opted to dress as Super Mario to be on national TV, but I gotta get some work done so I can take my daughter to meet her future husband, Grogu, tomorrow.

Cheers to all for playing. CK

I propose the R-I-Z-G-O-D Memorial Point Fund Bay-bee!

Each week you hold onto an idol is 0.5-1 point

Sucks that he loses 3 points since of course he had to play it and due to ****ery of Billie eilish he couldn't even play it on someone else

Solid idea. Rizo earned 3 points for being gifted an idol and lost 3 points for playing it without consequence. But the idol was a big part of his strategy two seasons in a row and he leveraged them both spectacularly.

Holding it correctly is a risky and bold play that should be rewarded

CK, I echo the earlier thoughts…. Thanks for the efforts here. This was my first time to play along so to speak and it was enjoyable. And hey, I finished on the podium so not bad.

I am also a fan of your taste in ladies… more Dee forever.

Look forward to fall

As the first loser, I feel a calling to speak for all of the other losers. I guess I am the "king of the dips**ts" (a la Ferris Bueler).

Good on you, well done. Hope Village is a partner with my church and we just planted trees there recently. I will be donating some supplies from their wish list in your honor.

Echo the sentiments, thanks CK for making this an entertaining thread and all the behind the scenes stuff. Congrats to your daughter.

I think everyone knew it was pretty much over as soon as Aubry won the final immunity challenge. Johnathan tried to make it interesting, but that could have been some creative editing. But that happens often on Survivor, so it's nothing new.
Aside from the fire challenge fiasco, the last half hour was a little lackluster, though I don't entirely blame that on Jeff. They shouldn't have brought him out until the fire challenge was over. Hopefully this kills the live show.
And bring back the podcast!!!

I've spent a lot of time mocking Joe, but I did feel genuinely bad for him a Tribal Council. You could tell he knew pretty quickly at tribal council that it wasn't his night yet again. That's 1 total vote at Final Tribal in 2 seasons.

While it was true and funny in the moment, Cirie's savage hit on him with the babysitting seems pretty uncalled for in hindsight. He didn't really lead any big moves, he just went along with them, and he couldn't craft an argument for himself, even when they gave him a bit of an olive branch when Emily said that every vote ran through him.

Not to promote cheating on one's spouse, but if I was Jonathan, the sheer number of times that Stephenie called him "the total package' would probably have me casually inviting her down for a weekend in Gulf Shores next time she's pissed at her husband.

From a post on Reddit:

"Stephenie wrote this on her vote for Jonathan and for those who might not know, it's a reference.
There's a professional wrestler from the 80s/90s named Lex Luger, and his wrestling nickname was "The Total Package".

After his career came to an end, he developed severe physical difficulties, bordering on paralysis of his legs. He could no longer walk, and had difficulty performing even basic physical tasks (after having previously been in peak physical condition, unfortunately supplemented by steroids and other drugs).

A few years ago, Luger began doing physical therapy and rehabilitation with another former wrestler, Dallas Page, who had helped many retired wrestlers to rehab from the trauma they've subjected their bodies to.

Enter Jonathan Young. He worked alongside Page in helping Luger regain his ability to walk over a period of many months. No doubt he told stories about this during downtime in Survivor 50, and Steph saw fit to pass the nickname on to Jonathan, which I have no doubt he was grateful to see.
Just a nice little touch that I thought was worth pointing out."

my nephew went on a date with Diamond Dallas Page's daughter. I told him he better not F around with that one.

I told my Dad about DDP and he responded, "she must be a stripper with a name like that?"

Not sure about everyone else, but I wasn't that excited about this open era, anything can happen promo for season 51. I know at least some of it is a brand-new cast. When they showed them on the little video, my first thought was "I already hate all of these people."

Here's the rumored cast list for 51 with ages and occupations. Someone has a pretty fascinating occupation. And "Devin Way" apparently was on Grey's Anatomy at some point

  • Aaliyah Puglia (25) - A chef from Providence, RI
  • Alexis Levine (28) - An attorney from Atlanta, GA
  • Angelica 'Jelly' Loblack (29) - A sociology professor from Bloomington, IN
  • Ana Sani (34) - An actress from Toronto, ON
  • Brady Booker (26) - A pro wrestler from Atlanta, GA
  • Carter Krull (25) - A farmer from Rock Rapids, IA
  • Cristian Chavez (25) - A human resources executive from Salt Lake City, UT
  • Daniel Kilby (28) - A game studio founder from London, ON
  • Devin Way (33) - An actor/model from Lufkin, TX
  • Eric Macksoud (34) - A mental health therapist from Sunderland, MA
  • Jenna Greenawalt (31) - A wedding videographer from Maumee, OH
  • Kristin Flickinger (49) - A former pride director from Santa Barbara, CA
  • Lewis Kelly (28) - An influencer from Dublin, Ireland/Puerto Rico
  • Linnea Capobianco (26) - A sex store owner from Kearny, NJ
  • Michael Pinsky (32) - An assistant director of baseball operations from New York, NY
  • Ori Jean-Charles (27) - A personal trainer from Monsey, NY
  • Patt Cannaday (33) - An attorney for the U.S. Navy from Norfolk, VA
  • Rob Antonson (40) - An airport operations specialist from Boston, MA
  • Sharonda Renee (34) - An OB-GYN from Berea, KY
  • Thien An Nguyen (25) - A medical student from Fort Worth, TX
Here's the 26 year old sex store owner by the way.

He also never had his name written down once. That is either because you're able to deflect attention from you, or no one sees you as a threat. It's likely a little of both.
