The Fahrenheit 451 film was horrible and not accurate to the book at all
Which version? Presuming you are thinking of the recent version, not the 50s version? I've never seen either although I've read the book a number of times.
Yes, the newer one with Michael B. Jordan

been brought-up here before, but Yesterday…..

The movie about the "only guy to remember the Beatles"? I loved that movie. The middle was better than the end, but I thought it was really good.

Agreed. Dead head what do you think it was missing?
The part where he first pulls out the Yesterday song in the new dimension was eye rolling. That song is not THAT good. It would have made sense if he pulled out 4 or 5 good Beatle songs and she was like, "man you are on a tear recently!" But to act like she just had an injection of heroin from that one song was ridiculous. To me the movie never recovered from that.

Unbroken was disappointing.
How that? Did they leave out a lot from the book?

Yes, sort of. All the post-war stuff was skipped which was important to have included. The rest was mainly missing depth/details, which is expected I guess on a movie. It really needed to be a limited series.

But plot details aside, it just wasn't very impactful IMO for reasons I can't really explain. And a movie with this source material should not instantly forgettable.

A more niche one: Gods and Generals. There aren't a lot of Civil War movies and I would love to have another good one. Instead we got some bull**** Lost Cause junk in about as boring a wrapper as possible.

This is a really good call

so much potential

and it was not in itself awful as the acting is pretty good and the battle scenes okay

but they went WAY off track with Stonewall Jackson and individual participants instead of focusing on the larger armies

have to say:

CIVIL WAR

it had the potential as a pretty unique idea to follow a crew of journalists to get to the White House

but it was so under budget and cheap looking.

if it was a big time studio, even WALKING DEAD looked like it had more participants in one Negan episode.

much of Civil War is a truck driving down an empty country road!!

in a country of 330 million in a war- why is everywhere they went in EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA deserted?!? there are literally 6 million people there and Jersey and NY
