About 12 or 13 years ago I ran into Joe Sargent, the director of Jaws IV, at a party in North Hollywood. Interesting dude. I asked about Star Trek, Pelham 123 and finally Jaws IV. He shook his head and said at least Michael Caine got a fat paycheck on that one. When talking about Pelham he did say Tarantino knew more about movies than anyone he had ever spoken to.

"Caddyshack II" has to be in the running.

Also, at the time it was released, 1980's "Heaven's Gate" was roundly panned as one of the worst movies ever made. But critics have softened on it over time. Never seen it so I can't give my two cents.

Blues Brothers 2000 comes to mind.

My buddy was working a shutdown at the plant and was on straight nights for a month. His wife called and asked if I wanted to go the see Blues Brothers 2000 at the dollar movie because she was bringing a friend she wanted to introduce to me.

I went ahead and met them there because if I didn't meet this woman at this movie, it would be later at a restaurant or something. They don't tend to stop trying to set up single guys.

That movie sucked. It was just bad.

I found a dime in the theater and was glad to only be out 90 cents.

Huh? That's a pretty good movie. I saw it last year out of curiosity and thought it wasn't bad, even though everyone knows the twist.

I was also surprised that that moment isn't even what the movie is about really, and not the end of the movie.

I nominate Moulin Rouge. I like plenty of movie musicals, but this was a steaming pile of dung IMO. Fortunately I was watching at home on PPV so felt no guilt about removing myself from the room about 2/3 of the way through.
