BB was the best series I've ever watched, but I enjoyed BCS more, as it was more light-hearted at times and the level of depression was much less after each episode of BCS versus BB.

Both were great television series, imo.

However, Breaking Bad started to wear on me by the end. Once Hank and Mike were gone, there was no one with redeeming qualities left (except maybe Junior?) and I was just watching the last few episodes because I had to see it thru after all the time invested. I was glad it was over just to be done with it, rather than satisfied with the resolution. I'll never go back and rewatch the series, despite the first few seasons being so tremendous.

BCS was easier to watch, even though I admit the conflict with his brother could have been done faster/smoother. Kim was great and redeemed herself. Lalo was great at being evil to the end. Mike made it all the way through. Nacho was a great doomed character whose last act was somewhat redemptive. Gus was Gus. And Saul sacrificed his freedom to earn his own personal redemption. I'll watch BCS again, gladly.

Man I just don't get this take. Hank and Gomez die in the Ozymandias episode. That episode is the highest rated episode ever and generally considered the best episode of any show in tv history.

If someone doesn't really like BB then ok. But you said you think BB was a great series. How do you like BB, watch the best most jaw dropping episode ever put on tv, then are just "glad it is over just to be done with it"??? It was only 2 more episodes. You weren't excited to see how it ended? The end of the next episode with the theme music and whiskey glass didn't give you chills?

I understand your perspective. The last season or two, Walt (our protagonist) was just such a lowlife POS. You're kind of forced into "rooting" for him, but at least for me, that made me feel dirty or at least conflicted after watching. It was unsettling. Regardless of the artful qualities of the episodes (which i acknowledge) the mood I was left in after watching them was not a good one. It was a grind for me to finish the series. I just don't enjoy watching a show about someone self-destructing or declining morally. I had the same issues watching The Sopranos, another "great" series that I have a love-hate reaction towards.

My wife watched "Nurse Jackie" and I just couldn't bear to watch with her. I never even contemplated watching "Shameless" since I was pretty sure it was more along those lines. I just don't like watching that kind of content, I guess.

There was always hope for Jimmy/Saul. He kept screwing up and digging his hole deeper, but he also kept showing that there was still genuinely some humanity left in him. It made a difference for me, thus my preference for BCS.

Got it, that makes more sense. I guess I viewed Walt as just the main character in BB, not necessarily the "good guy" which he wasn't. So I was anxiously watching each week to see how and when it would all come crashing down, who he'd take with him, etc. But if you're watching trying to root for Walt, I can see how that wouldn't be a "fun" show to watch.

Am I the only one who wanted to see Walt get away with it all? I rooted for him all the way and never felt bad about it. Jesse ruined everything by being a crybaby, Walt should have taken him out.

Yes, I think you're the only one who wanted Walt to kill Jessie.
