It was OK. Over the top cheesy at the end how everything was wrapped up with a nice pretty bow.

The detective says "nice work, give me a call" after he disarms the bomb and kills Bateman. The audience goes "yay! He's probably going to get a job as a cop now!" Then he's going through the TSA line with a baby. "Yay! they had the baby!" Then the TSA agent that didn't like him and was very suspicious of him the whole movie gives him an approving nod. "Yay! that guy realizes he was wrong about him and realizes he was a hero and likes and respects him now!" Then his friend that he had to set up getting him fired, pops up behind him and puts his arm around him. "Yay! They are friends again! He fully explained the situation and the guy now understands it had to be done to save the day!" Then he defends the TSA lady who's getting verbally abused by the passenger coming through the line. "What a great guy! He knows how it is. He's got the back of the TSA agents just trying to do their jobs!" Then the greatest of all.....throws the LAPD badge in the tote before going through the line. "YAY!!!! He got the job!" Everyone lives happily ever after. Audience high fives each other and goes to bed with smiles on their faces that night.

Watched it, clever enough at the beginning, plot fell apart a bit for sure near the end.

the genius IT assistant guy in the van became a raving lunatic when he was attempting to kill the heroes girlfriend which made no sense

Theo Rossi is the worst actor in every film/tv show he is in
does his best to ruin any project he is in. He must just be a really good dude or fun to work with IRL.

There was a scene in the movie where Bateman and Egerton were talking. Egerton asks what Bateman's son thought of him being a terrorist. His response is that his son thinks he is in insurance....

they missed such a great joke opportunity to say that he runs a real estate company.

I wanted one, Arrested Development nod, just one!

This is a solid Netflix movie that just fell into our laps. Phone Booth-esque.

Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Y'all are always gonna be wrong on that.

I am with you which is why I won't waste my time

more so the reason is I don't like movies about plane crashes, or planes exploding.

Thought the first half was like "not just Netflix movie levels of good"

The 2nd half obviously got a little cheesy.

Overall still loved it. Super entertaining. Don't get the Taron Egerton hate. He was awesome in it IMO.

Theo Rossi reminds me of a cast member from the Conan OBrien show so I can't take him seriously in anything he's in.

Just finished it. Meh - 5/10
A fair bit of the acting wasn't great. Several plot holes and unbelievable moments, but there were plenty of twists and turns that kept my attention.

Jason Bateman was good as always.

I don't know the actor who played the TSA agent, but I thought his acting was pretty awful.

By far not the worst movie I've seen, but I won't be recommending it to anyone.
Yeah ... I agree. Not really an action fan because the filmmakers always expect you to drop all pretense of reality -- i.e. two guys fighting both fall 50 feet on metal or concrete and get up to keep fighting -- but I went in with an open mind.

The whole thing was pretty far-fetched. I found myself saying over and over, "That would never happen."
You might have just saved me some time. This is absolutely the worst part of movies for me. My OCD doesn't let me just shut off practicality. Bugs the hell out of me for some reason.

Bateman as a villain is super weird. Antihero sure, but not straight terroristic villain

He's leaned into that side of things a few times with The Gift and even HBO's The Outsider.

I had to chuckle when the hostage in the van can pull off a just-in-time rifle shot on Shades. That gun looked enormous.

Wife and I watched it yesterday. We paused at least 6 times to laugh at and discuss the incredibly stupid plot line and scenes. But it was a fun.
Same. But my wife hated it and I at least thought it was entertaining.

But yeah, so many holes in the plot and unbelievable events.

The punk rock looking chick apparently swapped backpacks with Jason Bateman at the bar giving him a parachute AND a handgun, but how did she get that handgun through security? Because Bateman had to smuggle in a plastic handgun in the first place, which the TSA guy eventually stole off of him. And conveniently, the sniper dude just happens to be parked exactly where the TSA guy and his GF are talking to where he was a clear shot to kill her. And the sniper guy can just walk into an airport ticketing area waving around a knife and a gun and the girl doesn't seem to be able to find an actual police officer to help her, yet wanders out into the street to try and run away?
