Just have to say that I'm a woman and I absolutely love this movie! Still own the dvd and have the soundtrack. Tim Blake Nelson is fantastic as Delmar.

Love this movie, but in the pantheon of Coen Bro movies, I would put No Country for Old Men at the top, if we are talking comedy, I'm a sucker for Raising Arizona.

Yep, love No Country for Old Men. I guess I'm partial to Oh Brother because my dad grew up during the Great Depression and absolutely loved it and said it reminded him of Palestine, Texas in the 30's….

I don't really get why people rank Coen Brother movies against each other. Each movie is so different. Give them credit for trying different genres and taking a different approach each time they get back to work. Nothing in O Brother makes me think of No Country.

I don't watch Blood Simple and think about how much funnier it could have been if George Clooney was in Emmet Walsh's role.

I watched in the hospital with a head injury. I surprisingly remember quite a bit about it. I couldn't hear it very well though.

A nice short recap video was just posted from the Halloween performance:

ETA: Somehow they forgot to mention T Bone Burnett as a special guest. Oof.

Quote:

Thank you to the musicians, actors, dancers and everyone behind the scenes who made our 2 nights in Baltimore one for the books! It's the straight and narrow from here on out.

Special guests: Tim Blake Nelson, Jerry Douglas, Chris Thomas King, Sierra Hull, Duane Trucks, Nat Smith, Rachael Davis, Cris Jacobs, and Lindsay Lou

Great Movie. The first time I watched it, I thought it was okay. Then I watched it again and thought it was really funny. It's more about the characters and story than out and out jokes. One of the few movies that the more you watch it, the funnier it gets.
