This was initially what I thought was happening until I got on TexAgs. I agree I think they could trick us and this be in real time

Oh ***** I'm ready for the Dharma Initiative
Surely the people of the US would not tolerate an entire district under ground being subjected to revolts and mass deaths? That if they were going to do that real time, that they would keep that a secret?Btron said:
So I have a theory about the Senator and Reporter. What if they are in real time, not in the past. What if the silos are happening in part of the country where it can be isolated, monitored, and observed from a far. I know this is probably far-fetched. But with the above poster saying GA doesn't have 15 districts, maybe their district is the silos, and we know there is a silo 15 mentioned during the 2 seasons. I have watched enough LOST to know never trust a timeline. Didn't he or she also say, sorry to what happened to your 15th district. Maybe that was referring to the rebellion and everyone dying.... I'm sure I'm wrong but fun to throw out some wild ass theory.
The silos have been there for generations unless I've missed something. The people inside don't know what the outside world used to look like to the point their parents and grandparents wouldn't have been able to describe it to them. Them not having that level of comprehension can only be attained in total isolation for a long period of time. The residents don't even know how long they've been underground.Btron said:

They have drugs in the silo to make you forget the past. There was also that woman in S1 that was a bit nutty from the cocktail they were giving her. They could easily be running a psy-op on them.Max Power said:The silos have been there for generations unless I've missed something. I have a theory as well. Given how there is a level of AI involved in running the silos I've wondered if there's any chance AI had something to do with the event where the outside world was destroyed so the people had to go into the silos to begin with. What if the dirty bomb was blamed on Iran but was actually a product of AI gone wrong. The government prepared for the day everything did go wrong by creating the silos and blamed the event on another country. What if this is a straight up T2 judgement day without the robots walking around, but they still caused the end of the world? There is only basic technology available to the people in the silo outside of the smallest number, humanity is in a state of arrested development so they can't evolve and be in charge again. Granted I don't know why the AI would kill off most of humanity and keep the rest effectively as pets. I've wondered if the silos are an experiment in this area but there's another part of the country/world that knows about them and is actually just observing the inhabitants in perpetuity.
